There was no sound, no explosion.

The massive black hand that had filled Su Han and Lu Xueqi with despair, along with the immense Power of Void Annihilation condensed within it, vanished soundlessly the instant it touched that deep-blue ray, like a pencil drawing wiped away by an eraser. It had not been scattered or purified. Rather, it seemed to have been "returned to annihilation" by that wisp of light, completely reverting to its most primitive, emptiest state and merging into the deep-blue ray—or rather, into the phantom image of Return to the Void at the source of that light.

"Ah—!" The black-robed giant let out an incomparably shrill scream. Its solid form instantly dimmed and turned far more transparent, its aura plummeting. Its scarlet eyes brimmed with endless terror and venom as it fixed a hateful glare upon the tortoise shell in Bi Yao's hand, then "looked" at the vigilant Su Han, Lu Xueqi, and Elder Mu, as well as the blurry yet soul-shattering phantom image of Return to the Void.

"I shall remember today's humiliation! When my true body descends, I will make your Divine Souls perish and imprison you forever at the bottom of Return to the Void!"

After leaving behind that threat, the black-robed giant formed from the shadow dared not linger any longer. It suddenly exploded, turning back into Black Qi that filled the sky. Yet instead of attacking, the Black Qi surged frantically toward the entrance of the hall and the void beyond the tower like a receding tide. It fled more than ten times faster than it had arrived, vanishing without a trace in the blink of an eye. The cold, evil presence outside the tower swiftly retreated and disappeared with it.

The terrifying pressure enveloping Town Yue Tower abruptly vanished.
