After dinner, the thoughtful little maid quickly cleared the bowls and chopsticks before tidying up the bedding; she was truly a considerate little helper to her master.
Before long, having finished tidying the bed, the little maid's face flushed slightly as she whispered, "Master, I shall go draw the water and attend to your bath so you may rest."
Shin's room was not particularly large, but though the sparrow is small, it possesses all its vital organs; the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom were all present.
Chiyo Hotaru went back and forth, adding boiled water to the tub, her face flushed and lightly beaded with sweat from her busy work.
Shin did not offer to help. He knew that if he tried, this little maid would refuse with a righteous expression, insisting it was her duty. If he were to ignore her and force his help, she wouldn't say anything to his face, but she might secretly wipe away tears later, feeling useless for being unable to handle even such a small task.
He had only learned this after catching her crying in secret once before.
"Master, the water is ready!"
The little maid ran over, looking at him with watery eyes.
Shin smiled slightly, walked to the tub, took off his clothes, and hopped in. Moments later, the little maid followed him inside.
"Shin... Master Shin, I... I will scrub your back!" the little maid said timidly.
The wicked ruling class, indeed! While his mind wandered, he contentedly enjoyed the little maid's service until he gradually grew drowsy.
After the bath, Shin put on a robe, climbed into the bedding the little maid had already prepared, and closed his eyes in bliss.
The next morning, Shin opened his eyes right on time. This was a habit he had cultivated since transmigrating; no matter how late he went to sleep, he would wake up at this exact moment.
"Ah, Master Shin, you're awake. Breakfast will be ready in a moment," the little maid's voice drifted from the kitchen.
Shin shook his head with a wry smile. Ever since the first day after his injuries healed, when he had woken up earlier than her, he had never managed to rise before her again.
After eating a casual breakfast, he spoke at the table: "My uncle gave me a mission yesterday. I'll be away for a few days, so stay home and don't run around."
"How many days will it take for Master Shin to return?"
Shin considered this; a few bandits shouldn't take up too much of his time. "Seven days at most."
After reassuring the little maid and checking his supply of shuriken and Wu Ku, he left the Uchiha compound. On his way out, he ran into some Uchiha clansmen of his generation practicing in the morning. Seeing him, they quickly came over to greet him, their eyes shining with admiration.
Ever since that night, his and Madara's reputation had reached its peak among the new generation, who now viewed them as idols and goals.
After dealing with the children who admired him, Shin leaped onto a distant tree branch and began to dash forward at high speed.
The Uchiha clan's territory was in the west of the Land of Fire. Of course, this vast land was not yet called the Land of Fire; it was currently filled with countless daimyo and generals leading their own armies to slaughter one another, hiring ninjas whenever they encountered tasks they could not handle themselves.
In general, it wasn't just the Land of Fire that was in chaos; other countries were in turmoil as well. The entire world was a tangled mess, with ninjas killing each other and commoners waging their own wars.
Fujiwara Mine was located to the north of the Uchiha clan's territory, about a few hundred miles away—not a very long distance for a ninja.
While flying through the trees, he took out a kunai engraved with a seal to study it carefully. This was the custom-made seal for his Flying Thunder God technique. It was only after redeeming this skill that he realized his understanding of the Flying Thunder God was somewhat superficial.
The Flying Thunder God technique is divided into three levels.
The first level involves using these special kunai to bypass the constraints of space, appearing instantly beside the blade to achieve a sudden teleportation effect. However, the kunai have a distance limit; currently, Shin could only teleport to a kunai within ten miles, as he could not sense them beyond that.
The second level is no longer restricted by seals; one can engrave a seal onto an opponent during combat. Only after reaching this level can the Flying Thunder God technique transport others, and it can even be used defensively—by deploying a barrier via the seal, one can teleport attacks within that range elsewhere. In the original story, both Minato Namikaze and Tobirama Senju used it this way.
The third level, which only Minato Namikaze achieved in the original story, involves combining shadow clones with the Flying Thunder God technique to complete impossible strikes against an opponent in rapid succession. In a single thought, the entire space becomes your seal, and the enemy's life and death are entirely within your grasp.
Unfortunately, the protagonist was currently only at the first level, but he was content. After all, he was only five years old and had the system in his hands; as long as he was given a few more years and saved up enough points, he would surely stand at the pinnacle of the ninja world.
Traveling at high speed, he reached the outskirts of Fujiwara Mine by sunset.
After some thought, he decided to first pay a visit to the Uchiha ninjas stationed at the mine, as he was unfamiliar with the situation there.
Because Fujiwara Mine was not too far from the clan grounds, a jonin could arrive within a day if something happened, so the clan hadn't invested many ninjas in its defense—only one chunin and five genin. The chunin's name was Uchiha Tadashi.
When Shin met Uchiha Tadashi, the man was wearing a worried expression. He was stunned to see Shin and, upon hearing that he was a ninja sent by the clan, felt deeply confused. He couldn't understand what the clan was thinking; he had clearly requested at least a special jonin, so why send a child?
There were very few ninjas here, so no one had specifically informed them of the battle record Madara and Shin had achieved that night; naturally, they didn't recognize Shin.
However, Uchiha Tadashi didn't show it. He remained very warm, invited Shin to his side, and explained the situation in detail.
And the moment Shin stepped into Fujiwara Mine, in the distant bandit den, a ninja reported to an eight-year-old girl: "Princess, Uchiha Shin has arrived at Fujiwara Mine."
The girl smiled softly, her expression full of confidence, and whispered: "After so much effort, he has finally been lured out. Let me see for myself just how capable this so-called genius of the Uchiha clan really is."
