West of the Boundary River, inside a deep, secluded burrow, a seven-tailed fox lay in the cave, her eyes only just opening.
On this day, the old seven-tailed fox Suvila had suffered the greatest crisis since her birth. She had originally thought she could easily incite the two forces of the Gallop Family to fight each other and give the Royal Court's situation on the Gallop Plains a good start. She had never expected that beside Landen Gallop, a lord who had only just become High-Rank, there would actually be three Archmage-level Psychic Mages: one from the Fox Clan, one who had inherited the legacy of an Ancient God, and the last, though his methods were rather rough and wild, already had an understanding of magic no inferior to her own.
Just when her operation had already been exposed and she was preparing to withdraw unscathed, the Legend Psychic Mage Saranir descended, causing the situation she had still been able to maintain to collapse in an instant. Suvila simply could not understand how that dull-witted Fanil had managed to climb onto Saranir's high branch.
"How dangerous!" the old fox sighed at that moment. If Jenny Gallop had not been unable to hold on and the dream had not collapsed, she feared she would not have escaped the Legend's control. "Tomorrow, I'll control another person, send them a little gift, and hurry back to the Royal Court to report the situation here."
However, before the great fox could think further about how she could avoid the Legend's surveillance tomorrow without the slightest slip, she heard the sound of earth being clawed away from the top of her cave, crack, crack, crack.
"What is that?"
The great fox raised her head and looked at the clods of earth and mud gradually falling
