After passing through the rock wall, the sight inside was utterly breathtaking: a corridor roughly three hundred meters long, no less than thirty meters high, and about fifty meters wide. At one end stood the stone door Landen had entered through; at the other, daylight spilled in from outside.
Four neat rows of stone pillars supported the corridor. The exquisite patterns carved upon them echoed the lines of the ground beneath.
"This definitely wasn't the work of today's Ratmen or goblins," Landen muttered as he advanced with Blaze.
Blaze added, "Forget them. I think only Padmira Palace in the territory can compare to this place!"
Walking into the ruins of the Goblin Civilization for the first time, Landen gazed at the magnificent corridor and recalled the scene when those Barbarians had first arrived at the South Staircase Hall of the palace. Had he never seen Padmira Palace, he might even have considered this a feat surpassing human civilization.
"A civilization like this collapsed overnight?" Landen could not understand what the goblins had done. He could only marvel that such a structure had ended up as scraps picked over by Ratmen.
At the far end of the corridor, Landen and Blaze found a forest. Only after leaving the hallway did they realize that the woods lay within a Sky Pit. Together with the corridor behind it, it looked like a garden within a castle.
This Sky Pit covered far more ground than the one at Dragon Blood Thorn. Though the ground had long been covered in moss and dead leaves, traces of artificial landscaping could still be seen.
Judging by the layout, the forest blocking the corridor's exit should originally have been decoration on either side of a gate. But after so many years, aerial roots had descended from the trees
