Martial Souls and Awakening

A Martial Soul is the foundation of a Soul Master's cultivation and determines their potential paths of development 54. Awakening normally occurs at age six, when the individual's Innate Soul Power is also revealed 2 87.

• Innate Soul Power determines a Soul Master's starting point. Innate Full Soul Power is Level 10, while members of the Angel Qian Family may awaken with Innate Level 20 Soul Power 2.
• A person without Innate Soul Power cannot ordinarily become a Soul Master; Tang San's gifts allowed Jixiang to develop Soul Power and enter cultivation despite this limitation 155 156.
• Martial Souls can mutate, evolve, or undergo special awakenings. Tong Yu's weak canine Martial Soul mutated into the Five Elements Kirin after he consumed poison 52.
• Qian Renxue used an evolution opportunity on her Six-winged Angel Martial Soul, gaining Judgment Power, the Judgment Domain, and enough Soul Power to become a Soul Sage 54.
• Body Martial Souls may undergo a graded Second Awakening through the Absolute Beginning Sect's Secret Art, with Black Iron, Bronze, and Silver ranks documented 98.

Soul Rings

Soul Masters obtain Soul Rings to advance and gain power, commonly by hunting soul beasts 2. Qian Daoliu's first two rings came from a 500-year Golden Scale Beast and an 800-year Blazing Flame Tiger, respectively 2.

Ring Age Limits

The following limits were taught by Yu Xiaogang as standard absorption thresholds:

Ring Configurations

• Spirit Ring quality is represented by color, with black rings being Ten Thousand Year rings and red rings being Hundred Thousand Year rings 100 106.
• Exceptional Soul Masters may possess configurations far beyond conventional standards. Tong Yu is shown with nine Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings 53.
• God-Bestowed Spirit Rings can produce rings suited to the recipient and may reach Hundred Thousand Year quality when properly used 33 117.
• Later-era Soul Masters may use evolving Spirit Souls in place of ordinary Spirit Rings 100.

Two or more Soul Masters may combine their Martial Souls into a Martial Soul Fusion Skill. Such skills depend on mutual understanding and compatibility between the users 117.

• Flender, Yu Xiaogang, and Liu Erlong could contend with the weakest Titled Douluo through their fusion skill despite their differing cultivation levels 100.
• Yue Guan and Gui Mei's Two Extremes Prohibition Domain is a control-type fusion skill and made them key subordinates of Bibi Dong 116.
• Bai Haoze and Bai Zhicen's Instant Light is an attack-type fusion skill cultivated by the twin sisters after both became Titled Douluo 118.

Battle Armor

Battle Armor is a later-era profession that substantially enhances a Soul Master's combat strength 28.

• A One-word Battle Armor Master, while equipped, is stated to be comparable to a seven-ring Soul Sage 28.
• Bibi Dong's Two-word Full Battle Armor, Rakshasa, allows a Level 97 Peak Douluo to contend with a Level 99 Ultimate Douluo 36.

Domains and Spirit Bones

Domains and Spirit Bones are major enhancements beyond Soul Rings.
