Still Time and Space

Li Ran's eyes widened.

He stared at the scene before him in utter disbelief.

He slowly stepped out from Mystic Tortoise Shield and Bedrock Fortification.

He could see the terrified expressions on the faces of countless demonic beasts.

He could see the trails of bullets bursting from the weapons of the armed personnel controlled by the dark virus.

The bullets hung suspended in midair, trailing long streaks through the air. He could even see the flames bursting from the barrels as the bullets were fired.

Closest to him was a bat demon. Though its face was filled with terror, it still spat a mouthful of venom at Li Ran.

The venom floated through the air in a scattered spray.

Above him, an armed helicopter's rapidly spinning gun barrels spewed streams of fire, bullet after bullet tearing through the sky toward Zeref and Dr. Shezhi in the distance.

Not far away, a missile had struck the glass corridor. A cloud of flame had frozen in midair like cotton, while shards of glass and gravel sprayed outward through the air.

A tank's cannon was aimed in Li Ran's direction. The fiery blast and speeding shell hung suspended right before him.

He reached out and touched the shell, only to find that he could move it!

The sight made Li Ran suck in a sharp breath.

"Wh-what is going on? Why has everything stopped?"

Everything before his eyes had come to a halt.

Everything within his line of sight looked as though someone had pressed the pause button on time.

And he was standing within this frozen scene.

Everything in the scene was real.

He could even beat the demonic beasts senseless and alter the bullets' trajectories.

If he dared, he could even do anything he wanted to anyone or anything.
