The Real Nightmare-Level Difficulty

"Xiao Lin?!"

After entering the corridor, Wang Xiaoming's face turned deathly pale. He looked around him, seemingly still unable to believe he had made it into the Faculty Dormitory.

"It's too dangerous for you to keep watch at the door alone. I'm the one looking for the key, and it has nothing to do with you. How can I let you face the danger by yourself?" Chen Ge said as if he were only looking out for Wang Xiaoming. He held tightly onto Wang Xiaoming's arm and refused to let go no matter how hard the other man struggled.

"I..."

"Keep your voice down. I don't think the door up ahead is fully closed." Pressing himself against the wall, Chen Ge walked to the middle of the corridor. He spotted a room with its door ajar and its light on; a faint white glow could be seen inside.

Wang Xiaoming was also afraid that the noise he made would draw the attention of whoever was inside. He stopped resisting and let Chen Ge drag him to a halt beside the door.

"What are you doing?" Wang Xiaoming watched Chen Ge lean over to peek through the doorway. He felt as if his scalp were about to explode. The guy in front of him seemed to have no idea what fear was, and kept dragging him to probe the edge of danger.

"Shh. The light's on inside, and I think I saw a shadow on the wall. There's someone in there." Chen Ge beckoned to Wang Xiaoming, and the two of them tiptoed past the door.

With Chen Ge dragging him along, Wang Xiaoming no longer resisted. He seemed to have accepted his fate.
