School trash was usually collected at designated points, then hauled out by garbage trucks. The room Chen Ge was in was probably Han Jiang University's waste collection center.
Trash from the whole school was gathered here, sorted, and then transported off campus.
"This little building stands between the two campuses. Could the East and West Campus share the same waste sorting center?"
Chen Ge looked around with his phone and noticed many strange things.
There were eight stalls inside the building, each with a wooden sign bearing different words.
The first stall was labeled "Waste Paper." White paper, brown paper, paper cups, and paper food containers littered the entrance.
The second stall was labeled "Plastic." Coke bottles and mineral water bottles had been carelessly tossed across the floor.
The third stall was labeled "Metal," and the fourth was labeled "Foil Packaging." Those were fairly normal, but the labels on the boards suddenly became strange starting with the fifth stall.

Inside the narrow stall hung one "person" after another, their bodies incomplete. Their feet were bound with ropes, leaving them dangling from the ceiling, heads down. Their heads swayed slightly in the breeze.
Chen Ge drew in a sharp breath. At least twenty or thirty "people" were crammed into the cramped stall.
"They must be mannequins."
Raising his phone, Chen Ge took a picture of the upside-down figures. The blurry photo showed nothing beyond them.
Wiping the sweat from his palm, Chen Ge reached out and lightly touched one of the hanging "people."
The sensation under his fingertips wasn't like rubber, nor was it anything like a
