Ghost School had changed. All the things lurking in the shadows had emerged, as if they knew their chance had finally come.
"Teacher Bai, can I ask you something, even if it's none of my business? Did the woman who left her aura on you give you any hints?" Zhou Tu's face was pale. He had to rest after every sentence.
"I don't know Chang Wenyu at all, much less how she left her aura on me." Chen Ge didn't want to continue the conversation. He hurried toward the Library.
"Keeping secrets from us?" Zhang Ju was carrying Zhou Tu on his back. Zhou Tu's body was slowly fading, and he probably wouldn't even last until they reached the Library.
"Think whatever you want..." Chen Ge kept his head down and walked on. After a few steps, he suddenly furrowed his brow.
He really didn't know Chang Wenyu and wasn't trying to hide anything. But Zhou Tu's words made it sound as if Chen Ge were deliberately keeping something from them.
Zhou Tu had been giving Chen Ge information all along. This was the first time he had asked a question, and the first thing he'd asked about was Chang Wenyu.
To anyone else, that would have seemed perfectly normal. Chen Ge hadn't thought much of it at first, but the more he considered it, the stranger it seemed.
"Coincidences upon coincidences, eventually leading to an accident. The whole sequence of events seems fine, but something about it just feels off." Chen Ge thought it over. "Zhou Tu still has plenty of secrets, but from the looks of him, he may not have time to tell me."
The Painter was the one who had hurt him. If Zhou Tu really hated the Painter that much, he should have told them
