Background
Mikoto and Uchiha Kamizuki are twins. As children, she tempered his bluntness with empathy: she admonished him for cursing strangers, introduced herself to Nawaki after Kamizuki insulted him, and aspired to become a powerful yet gentle kunoichi like Tsunade. Her brother’s behavior gradually made the normally reserved Mikoto a sharp-tongued commentator herself. 1 2
When Kamizuki departed Konoha with Orochimaru and Hatake Sakumo, Mikoto prepared food and field rations for the party, then entrusted Kamizuki with their father’s sword, the Crimson Blade. Her care for him remained constant despite his impatience with her fussing. 10
After graduating at the top of her Academy class, Mikoto reached the battlefield despite Kamizuki’s attempts to keep her away. She confronted his belief that she lacked talent, awakened her Two-Tomoe and then Three-Tomoe Sharingan, and insisted that she was an Uchiha rather than a fragile object to preserve. 38
On a supply escort mission, Kumogakure targeted Mikoto as revenge against Kamizuki. Her squad was ambushed; Ayaka and Yoshino died, while the squad leader Hiruko exposed his betrayal. Poisoned and badly injured, Mikoto still killed multiple attackers and sent a concealed request for help before being captured. 44 46
When others believed Kamizuki had died, Mikoto remained certain that her twin was alive. That conviction was tied to the Pupil Power he had left within her eyes, which became the catalyst for her Mangekyō Sharingan. 54 111
During Kirigakure’s invasion of the Land of Fire, Mikoto commanded Mahoraga with power comparable to Uchiha Fugaku’s. The creature’s brutal endurance and regenerative fighting style earned her the title Wicked Woman Who Commands Death, but its non-use in later missions became the basis for public hostility and rumors against her. 60 84
Appearance
At eighteen, Mikoto is described as dignified and gentle in bearing, with jet-black almond-shaped eyes, smooth black hair that falls like a waterfall, and a slender but healthy build. 60
- Long black hair; she unties it before activating her Mangekyō Sharingan. 111
- Scarlet Sharingan eyes, progressing from two tomoe to Mangekyō. 38 111
- In her dragon state, black markings spread across her face, her lips darken purple, and her hair lengthens dramatically. 208
- Her transformed presence combines dense senjutsu chakra with scarlet Pupil Power, described as both elegant and ferocious. 208
Personality
Mikoto is compassionate, socially perceptive, and patient with Kamizuki’s difficult temperament. She regularly mitigates the harm caused by his rudeness, tends to those around him, and understands that fellow villagers may hold opinions different from her own. 2 10 60
She refuses to be defined by gentleness alone. Mikoto meets danger directly, resists being treated as a protected ornament, and is willing to endure pain, poisoning, blood loss, and public condemnation rather than abandon her own path. 38 46 60
Her devotion to Kamizuki is absolute, but not passive. She believes he is the one who needs protection, builds a means to call him back to the Shinobi World, and develops ocular techniques centered specifically on him. 38 112 127
Mikoto can also be fierce and ruthless when her family is threatened. During Sukuna’s attack, she immediately arms herself, challenges his assumptions about her weakness, and later shows a willingness to make harsh choices to achieve her goals. 160 193
Abilities & Skills
Sharingan and Combat Skill
Mikoto is an Academy top graduate and a naturally gifted Uchiha combatant whose Three-Tomoe Sharingan awakened unusually early. 38 44
- Uses the Sharingan to track opponents and support close-range combat. 44 46
- Initially could not fully bear the strain of Three-Tomoe Pupil Power; its awakening caused her to faint. 44
- Continued fighting while poisoned and suffering eye bleeding from Pupil Power overuse. 46
- Becomes one of the contemporary Uchiha’s strongest Fire Style and Lightning Style users. 217
Mangekyō Sharingan
Mikoto’s Mangekyō manifests from her refusal to accept Kamizuki’s death. Its techniques are tied to fate, protection, and the bond between the twins. 111 112
- Izanagi — rewrites unfavorable reality, including death, as illusion; it cannot affect Mikoto herself and can only be used on Kamizuki. Its cooldown lasts years rather than causing immediate blindness. 112 130
- Izanami — counters Izanagi by trapping its target until they accept their fate. 130 189
- Domain — built around Mikoto herself; it bypasses Mahoraga-like adaptation and directly counters abilities used by opponents within it. Its effectiveness remains subject to differences in power level. 189
- Her Mangekyō insight, experience, and stamina elevate her to Kage-level combat capability. 127
Susanoo and Swordsmanship
Mikoto can manifest Susanoo, the Uchiha’s ultimate ocular construct. Madara’s parting gift allowed her to skip directly to a half-bodied form and create its chakra weapon during her first recorded activation. 122
- Uses the Kusanagi Sword in conjunction with her Mangekyō Sharingan. 127
- Defeated Chiyo’s Chikamatsu Ten Puppets in direct combat. 127
- Her Susanoo’s chakra-infused attacks leave wounds difficult to heal even with Reverse Cursed Technique. 169
Mahoraga Command
Mikoto commands Mahoraga, a powerful creature created by Orochimaru. 60
- Deployed it during the Kirigakure invasion, where its regeneration, endurance, and painlessness devastated enemy forces. 60
- Its use made Mikoto a target of village resentment when people blamed its absence for shinobi casualties. 60
- Mahoraga must remain within a limited range of Mikoto for her to control it. 193
Senjutsu, Rinnegan Fusion, and Restoration
After fusing with a pair of dark-red Rinnegan, Mikoto develops powers beyond conventional Uchiha ocular techniques. 197
- Balances Pupil Power with natural energy, enabling her dragon ascension. 208
- Stabilizes ruptured terrain and chaotic space after a battle that devastates the Shinobi World. 208
- Takamimusubi — an ocular technique born from the fusion of her eyes and Takami Musubi; it governs weaving, nurturing, restoration, and fundamental repair on a planetary scale. 209
- Uses a divine technique to defeat Ōtsutsuki Nue-shiki and turn him into a field of flowers. 248
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Kusanagi Sword — Mikoto’s sealed sword, carried via a marking on her wrist and used against Chiyo and Sukuna. 127 160
- Crimson Blade — the sword forged by her father; Mikoto gives it to Kamizuki before his departure from Konoha. 10
- Mahoraga — Orochimaru-created battle creature under Mikoto’s command. 60
