History

Early Konoha

Uchiha Madara initially urged the clan to put aside its hatred and help build Konoha. A year later, he declared that the village was not the clan's future and left alone; although Uchiha Setsuna intended to follow him, Madara departed before Setsuna could join him. 14

The clan later endured internal instability. Setsuna attempted to incite a rebellion against the Senju during Tobirama Senju's era, and the resulting conflict killed the Uchiha clan head of that time. After further turmoil, Mikoto's grandfather Kohaku became the steady figure managing clan affairs. 21 26

Relations with Konoha

The clan's relationship with Konoha has grown tense. Its reputation was damaged by Madara's attack on the village, Setsuna's rebellion, and the Military Police Force's strict, unpopular treatment of civilians. Konoha's upper leadership also treats the clan with suspicion, deepening the divide. 14 36

During the Second Ninja World War, the release of Setsuna into Police Force custody was received as a gesture of goodwill. The clan responded by sending elite members to the front, where their achievements restored some of their battlefield reputation. 21

Fugaku Uchiha later became the clan's young leader and captain of the Konoha Military Police Force. Despite his public ambition to restore the clan's glory, he recognizes that the Police Force has little influence over major village decisions and seeks a Hokage candidate less hostile to the Uchiha. 26 36

Sharingan

Genichi describes the Sharingan as a Yin Release-based dōjutsu whose evolution is linked to emotional upheaval, ocular power, and the user's physical and spiritual development. He compares ocular power to water overflowing from a container: intense emotions cause power to exceed the eye's capacity, prompting the Sharingan to evolve. 12 14

The association between the Sharingan and the death of loved ones led to its reputation as the “Cursed Eye,” though Genichi attributes this to the extreme grief and regret that often accompany advancement rather than to an inherent curse. 12

One-Tomoe Sharingan

The One-Tomoe Sharingan grants heightened perception. 14

Mangekyō Sharingan

Uchiha Eye-Opening Theory

His proposed development method combines:

The theory's influence intensified after Mikoto awakened her Three-Tomoe Sharingan at age thirteen, prompting a clan-wide genjutsu-training craze. 25

Political Position

The Uchiha respect strength and have become receptive to Genichi because of his battlefield reputation as the “White Reaper,” his Sharingan research, and his relationship with Mikoto. 25

Fugaku and the clan are prepared to support Genichi's bid for the Fourth Hokage. Genichi promises that, under his leadership, the Uchiha would no longer be targeted or excluded and would instead receive meaningful positions in an expanding Konoha. 44
