Bulma and Chi-Chi Meet Again

"That's right, Chi-Chi!"

Fortune Teller Baba, standing to the side, added her own persuasion.

"No, I'm going to West City to find Wukong!"

"How about this, Chi-Chi? I'll call Master Mutaito and have him contact Wukong to come and find you instead!"

Chi-Chi felt a flicker of interest, but the thought of Sun Wukong living with another girl made her decide to go to West City and find him herself.

"No, Dad, I want to go find Wukong on my own!"

"This..."

Ox-King looked toward Fortune Teller Baba.

Fortune Teller Baba waved her hands helplessly.

They knew Chi-Chi's temper well; once she set her mind on something, it was nearly impossible to change it.

"Then, Chi-Chi, if you're going to West City, how about I go with you?"

Ox-King thought it over and suggested.

Chi-Chi was only sixteen and had rarely left Fried Bread Mountain; he worried she might be deceived out there, so for his daughter's safety, he felt it was better to accompany her.

"No, Dad, I'll go by myself. Besides, I'm all grown up now, and I know martial arts, so there won't be any problems at all!"

"Well... alright then!"

Chi-Chi nodded and headed toward their home.

Back home, Chi-Chi quickly began packing her clothes.

Ox-King worried that once she reached the big city, she might run out of money, so he gave her some gold and silver jewelry.

By the time Chi-Chi finished packing everything she needed, a bundle larger than a person was piled up on the castle floor.

The bundle contained not only clothes but even pots, pans, and bowls—everything she could possibly need.

"Well, Dad, I'm leaving now?"

Chi-Chi picked up the massive bundle and hoisted it onto her back.

"Alright, Chi-Chi, you must be careful on your way!"

Chi-Chi nodded once and walked out of the castle.

Ox-King followed her out, watching her until she was out of sight before returning to the castle to make a call to Master Roshi.

"Master Mutaito, it's me, Ox-King!"

"Ox-King! Ox-King, is there something you need?"

"It's like this, Master Mutaito: Chi-Chi left Fried Bread Mountain today, saying she's going to West City to find Wukong!"

"Wukong!"

"Yes! It's all my fault. Because Chi-Chi had been losing her appetite lately and kept muttering Wukong's name, I thought she was sick, so I brought in Fortune Teller Baba to take a look!"

"I think... Chi-Chi must have fallen in love with Wukong!"

"I've already figured that out by now!"

"Then why are you calling me?"

"I want you to help me contact Wukong and tell him that Chi-Chi is on her way to find him!"

"Alright, no problem!"

"I'm sorry to trouble you, Master Mutaito!"

"Mm!"

After Ox-King finished speaking, he hung up the phone.

Shortly after, Master Roshi found the number Sun Wukong had left him last time and dialed Bulma's house.

When the call connected, Bulma's mother answered.

Upon hearing that the call was for Sun Wukong, she immediately went to the Gravity Room and called him out.

Once Sun Wukong learned that Chi-Chi was coming to find him, he immediately left Bulma's house to go meet her.

A long while later, Sun Wukong found Chi-Chi inside a large mountain range.

Because he had grown quite a bit taller over the last six months, Chi-Chi wasn't entirely sure the person in front of her was the Sun Wukong she was looking for when she first saw him.

"Um... are you Wukong?"

"That's right!"

Sun Wukong nodded with a smile.

"That's wonderful!"

Upon hearing this, Chi-Chi immediately threw herself into Sun Wukong's arms.

Sun Wukong was left somewhat bewildered by this sudden action.

After a moment, Chi-Chi realized her behavior had been too impolite and let go.

"I'm sorry, Wukong. I was just so excited because I hadn't seen you in such a long time!"

"It's nothing!"

Sun Wukong chuckled.

Besides, he wasn't the one losing out!

"Wukong, it's been years, and you've grown up to be so handsome. I almost didn't recognize you just now!"

"Is that so!"

"Then, Wukong, you should still know who I am, right?"

Chi-Chi looked at Sun Wukong with an expectant expression.

"You're Chi-Chi!"

"You really haven't forgotten me!"

Chi-Chi was overjoyed and hopped up from the ground.

"By the way, Wukong, why did you come here?"

"Your father asked me to come find you!"

"Really!"

"Then should I take you back?"

"No, unless you stay at my house!"

"This..."

Sun Wukong felt a bit troubled by this request.

"Oh, Wukong, I heard from Fortune Teller Baba that you're living with a girl. Is that true?"

"A girl? You don't mean Bulma, do you?"

"Bulma? Is that the girl who went with you to find the Dragon Balls before?"

"Yeah!"

Sun Wukong nodded.

"Then why are you living at her house? Could it be that you two are already in that kind of relationship?"

"No, I'm just training at her place!"

"Training?"

"Yeah, she built a Gravity Room for me to train in!"

"What's a Gravity Room?"

"..."

Sun Wukong was speechless.

However, he still explained the purpose of the Gravity Room to her.

Once Sun Wukong finished his explanation, a look of sudden realization appeared on Chi-Chi's face.

"Then, Wukong, how about you move the Gravity Room to my house?"

"...Better not. If this Gravity Room breaks, you wouldn't know how to fix it!"

Chi-Chi became visibly unhappy upon hearing this.

"Then should I take you back?"

"No, I want to go to West City and walk around!"

"..."

Sun Wukong was speechless once again.

"By the way, Chi-Chi, what do you have in the bundle behind you?"

"It has clothes, pots, pans, and all sorts of things!"

"..."

"So, you're really not going back?"

"Not going back!"

"Alright then! I'll take you to West City, but you have to promise me that once we get there, you'll listen to everything I say?"

"Mm!"

Chi-Chi nodded heavily.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong immediately summoned the Flying Nimbus and took her toward West City.

West City, Bulma's home.

Bulma had just finished baking a cake and was preparing to head to the Gravity Room to have Sun Wukong taste it when she suddenly ran into her mother at the doorway.

"Bulma, is the cake ready?"

Bulma nodded.

"I was just about to go find Wukong so he could try it!"

"Wukong? He seems to have gone out just a moment ago. I'm not sure if he's back yet."

"He went out?"

"Yes, he received a phone call and then left!"

"Who was that call from?"

"It sounded like it was from his master!"

"That lecherous old man!"

As she spoke, Bulma ran toward the Gravity Room, only to find that Sun Wukong was indeed not there.

Ten minutes or so later, Sun Wukong returned, stepping onto his Flying Nimbus.

"Wukong!"

Bulma had been happy to see Sun Wukong return, but when she saw Chi-Chi behind him, the expression on her face soured instantly.

By the time Sun Wukong landed the Flying Nimbus in the courtyard, Bulma felt an urge to leave.

However... she was not the type to admit defeat so easily, so she suppressed the anger in her heart and walked forward.
