Pisces (Two Chapters Combined)

There were three demonized puppets from the City Guard charging at him. All three were revolting to look at. Most of the skin on two of them had been scorched black; one had an eyeball hanging out, while the other had had the hair and scalp burned off its head, leaving its skull practically visible. The remaining one had a crossbow bolt stuck in the right side of its chest, with disgusting pus oozing from the wound. All three reeked, and swarms of flies buzzed around them...

After one look at the three demonized puppets, Zhang Tie gave up the idea of taking them back to Professor Simon for research. There was no other reason—they were simply too disgusting. Zhang Tie had no desire to haul such revolting things all the way back.

Zhang Tie took out a Flying Spear and, as if swatting flies, smashed the three disgusting heads that rushed before him at the fastest speed possible. Then he began searching the barracks. He did not see Shrek there; that fellow's target was probably the demonized puppets wandering outside the camp.

This military camp covered a vast area. Including the training grounds, it spanned several hundred mu. There were also numerous buildings of varying heights within the camp. Many had already been burned down; those remaining were mostly ordinary barracks, along with some training facilities, warehouses, and mess halls.

By the habits of demonized puppets, a small number of them liked to wander around places where their hosts had often stayed while alive. Therefore, Zhang Tie did not believe that such a huge camp contained only three demonized puppets. There might have been none left on the training grounds, but there could be some elsewhere.

Zhang Tie ran straight toward the nearest barracks.

The barracks door was half-closed.
