Although Frat City had by now been almost completely reduced to ruins and rubble, retaking such a city still held immeasurable significance for the human coalition forces throughout the Blackson Corridor.
Because this was the first city human forces had seized back from the Devil Race since the Holy War began. Retaking Frat City not only greatly boosted the morale of the entire human coalition, but also severed one of the Devil Race army's aggressively southward-reaching claws, pulling the human coalition back a point along the entire Selnes defensive line.
Although the human coalition's main opponent in this battle had merely been a demonized puppet legion, and that legion had not been completely annihilated in the end—one-third of the demonized puppets had retreated north—no one cared about that now. What people cared about was this victory the human coalition had won since the start of the Holy War.
This victory gave many people a chance to finally breathe beneath the suffocating pressure of the Devil Race.
