The Heavenly Emperor founded the Ancient Heavenly Palace on the Tianluo Continent and established it as the Daoist Sect’s central lineage. Its principal structure consisted of the Five Halls and Nine Prefectures, supported by the Four Symbols Star Lords and other ancient powerhouses. Although the sect possessed only around a dozen Heavenly Sovereigns, its members were drawn by the Heavenly Emperor’s prestige and teachings. 267 319

During the ancient catastrophe, the Heaven-Swallowing Demon Emperor led the Evil Clan from Beyond against the Heavenly Palace. The Four Symbols Star Lords sacrificed themselves to delay the enemy, allowing the Heavenly Emperor to use One Qi Transforms into Three Purities. With two Saint Grade external avatars, he destroyed seven of his foe’s nine demon hearts and sealed the remaining two. 345 473

The battle exhausted the Heavenly Emperor’s origin, though his body, remnant soul, Canonization List, and the sealed demon hearts endured. His remains rested in the Heavenly Emperor Mausoleum, while the Heavenly Palace lineage collapsed and its survivors scattered. 348

When the mausoleum crisis brought the Heaven-Swallowing Demon Emperor back into the world, the Heavenly Emperor briefly returned and formally accepted Mu Chen as his closing disciple and successor.
