Background / History

Xiao Wu arrives at Blue Tyrant Academy with the Shrek group. When she first sees Xiao Yexuan, she senses an unusual warmth and purity in his spirit power, which feels intimate rather than hostile. After he reveals his first soul ring, she recognizes that it contains no lingering resentment from a soul beast; this deeply moves her as a soul beast in human form and makes her feel tranquil around him. 1 2

When Dai Mubai attempts to intimidate the far weaker Xiao Yexuan, Xiao Wu openly opposes him. Tang San tries to stop her, claiming that Xiao Yexuan has influenced her mind, but Xiao Wu rejects this accusation and condemns Tang San for supporting a bully. She then places herself in front of Xiao Yexuan and offers to fight Dai Mubai herself. 5

Xiao Wu supports Xiao Yexuan during his duel with Yu Xiaogang, deriding Yu Xiaogang’s methods after Xiao Yexuan contains Luo Sanpao’s foul smoke with his wind field. She later joins Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong in seeking admission to Blue Tyrant Academy and follows Xiao Yexuan into a shared cultivation group. 8 10 18

To assist Xiao Yexuan’s pill-refining plans, Xiao Wu contacts Da Ming and Er Ming to search the Star Dou Forest for rare medicinal herbs. She later promises that spirit bones will be sent to him as well, believing his research deserves support. 20 25

Her growing attachment to Xiao Yexuan makes her competitive with Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong. After discovering that the two had rested in his room, Xiao Wu becomes jealous; she later exaggerates feeling unwell so that she can sleep in his bed herself. 24 25

When Tang San and Dai Mubai ambush Xiao Yexuan’s group, Xiao Wu immediately confronts them with open disgust. She remains concerned about Tang San’s hidden weapons, specifically recognizing that the Godly Zhuge Crossbow would have posed grave danger to Xiao Yexuan. 27 32
