"Shikaku, are you here to invite Lord Hokage too?"

Outside the Hokage's office, Inoichi Yamanaka looked at the solemn-faced Shikaku Nara without the slightest surprise.

After all, Rino had already told him the entire story last night.

She had also mentioned her guess that Yoshino might send Shikaku Nara to invite the Hokage.

For the sake of helping his beloved wife fulfill her wish, Inoichi Yamanaka would naturally give his full support.

"Yeah, Inoichi! You were sent by Mrs. Yamanaka to invite Lord Hokage over as a guest too, weren't you?"

"Still, I may have to disappoint you this time. After all, Lord Hokage personally accepted my invitation back on the battlefield."

A smile appeared on Shikaku Nara's face, but in Inoichi Yamanaka's eyes, it looked like smugness.

"Shikaku, that may not be the case. Rino's flower arrangements are unmatched! Perhaps Lord Hokage will choose my home first to cultivate his artistic sensibilities!"

Inoichi Yamanaka's tone was full of uncertainty. After all, even he knew that excuse was rather flimsy.

Sure enough, Shikaku Nara did not take his words to heart.

Instead, he turned and gestured to him. "Let's go in together!"

The two were squaring off against each other so fiercely that anyone unaware of the situation might have thought it was some matter of national importance.

But then again, helping their wives fulfill their dreams might very well have been the true important matter in their eyes.

The two men who had personally placed green hats on their own heads set foot on a road of boundless green.
