Background / History

Ito Makoto is the son of Ito Mika and was formerly registered as a member of the Uchiha Clan before being stripped of that status. His file later drew Hiruzen Sarutobi's attention during the investigation into Senju Kotoha's attack on him. 54

Having lived a previous life as a soldier, Makoto is acutely aware of how little control ordinary people have over their own lives in the ninja world. Hizashi Hyuga's death was the first major event of the original Naruto world that he experienced personally, deepening his resolve to gain enough strength to protect himself and those close to him. 36

After learning Reverse Summoning Jutsu, Makoto considered the immediate danger surrounding the Uchiha Clan's destruction resolved and devoted himself to training.
