A New Year's Letter to My Readers

I saw someone asking how to play Dragon Balls, so I looked into it. It seemed I was supposed to write a New Year's greeting and a year-end summary.

But I just wrote a progress report a few days ago. Why didn't you say something sooner, Qidian?! I'm speechless.

So I'll just chat a little, and wish everyone a happy New Year in advance! The New Year is almost here!

2023 was a very special year for me.

I never expected that I would suddenly make a sharp turn and set foot on a path I had never considered before, writing more in a single year than I had written in my entire life put together.

—If you told the me of 2022 that I would write 1.8 million words next year and become a full-time writer, I wouldn't have believed it even if you beat me to death.

I met many new friends and many enthusiastic readers, and suddenly had the best possible gaming setup. This was a life my former office-worker self wouldn't have dared to imagine.

I remember the names of many active readers. Some are active in the reader group, while others only post in the review section, but all of you have given me so much support. Thank you all so much. I've read every comment and post you've left.

I've even been browsing the tags for my own work on other platforms, and I've felt the support and love from so many people. Truly, thank you all so much.

If the past year taught me anything, it was that change would always happen. Don't be afraid to embrace every possibility. Wait, and keep hope in your heart!

As for 2024, let me talk about my writing plans going forward.
