"Ugh, what was that..." Walking carefully through Teitan High School's nighttime corridors with a flashlight, Irish felt a chill at his neck. He warily looked around for a moment, found nothing, then withdrew his suspicious gaze from the windows and continued toward his destination.
After working in the task force for three days, Irish had seemingly followed a path laid out for him, once again heading into the darkness that led to the truth.
He had begun to suspect Mori Kogoro and Edogawa Conan's identities.
This time, it was not because Mori Kogoro had displayed some absurd, unimaginable deduction that aroused suspicion. Irish simply felt an icy hatred toward Mori Kogoro.
There was no special reason for it. Overachieving coworkers were simply unbearable.
How had Mori Kogoro performed? Looking closely, he had actually done quite well.

Based on Irish's expectations, he had thought he would see a detective who spoke without restraint, acted outrageously and refused to obey orders, wielded sharp words, and carried an intelligent yet world-weary air.
—It did not matter if he was not smart, but the first few traits should at least have been more or less there.
Who would have thought that instead, Irish would see a man who was sleepy-eyed and poorly adjusted to the schedule, yet followed every development of the case more actively than anyone else? He applied for investigation permits everywhere, contacted officers handling cases in different
