"So he just left like that without asking you anything more?"
After watching Irish's back disappear completely at the end of the road and confirming that no one else could overhear them, Hirotsugu Morofushi could no longer hold back his laughter. He chuckled as he asked Tangze.
"Ask what? I made my attitude clear from the start. Even if he asked, I wouldn't answer, so he might as well shut up." Tangze shrugged, rubbed his hair a couple of times, and fully slipped out of character. "He's probably got several different scripts prepared in his head too."
"And you're not giving him any help or resources?" Hirotsugu Morofushi found Tangze's hands-off attitude toward a useful pawn rather novel.
Though he did not show it very clearly, Hirotsugu Morofushi could vaguely sense that while Tangze was the youngest member of the Phantom Thief Troupe, he often had the mentality of an overly worried parent. Tangze had never been stingy with sharing his abilities and wealth with the troupe members or friends who needed help.
Back then, even though Hirotsugu Morofushi had just awakened and had not yet decided whether to join the Phantom Thief Troupe, Tangze had proactively supplied him with ample ammunition, equipment, and provisions before he went out.
When he later returned to the hideout and opened his instrument case, he had even found more than a dozen banknotes of varying denominations inside...
Now that Irish had clearly thrown in his lot with Tangze, even if he knew nothing of the truth, he could at least be considered a subordinate. Tangze's almost indifferent attitude of ignoring him and leaving him to fend for himself was rather rare.
"He's survived in the organization this long, so he must have the ability to find himself a way out." Tangze coldly withdrew
