Background / History

Zhang Yuanqing becomes involved with the Spirit Realm after his childhood friend Lei Yibing sends him a mysterious black card and cryptic letter shortly before disappearing from his college dormitory. Determined to protect Brother Bing’s secret and uncover what happened, Zhang resists pressure from Kangyang District Public Security Bureau investigators. 2 3

After becoming a Spirit Realm Walker, he operates under the identity Yuanshi Tianzun. His concern for civilians remains a defining motive in his early actions: he risks confronting Ou Xiangrong because Xu Yingying is in danger, despite recognizing that the opponent may be beyond him. 29

His reputation rises rapidly through Spirit Realm instances and the arena tournament.
