History

Super Saiyan was once a buried Saiyan legend, said to produce an ordinary wielder only after immense growth and a Legendary Super Saiyan only once every thousand years. No Super Saiyan had appeared since the Saiyans relocated to Planet Vegeta, making the form a near-myth among Baros's people. 195 216

Baros became the first documented modern Saiyan to transform on Divine Martial Battle Star. His awakening produced an unprecedented ancient form: it exceeded both ordinary and Legendary Super Saiyans, multiplied his battle power by two hundred, and bore traits of Super Saiyan God without actually being that divine state. 192

Broly transformed shortly afterward, first reaching an ordinary Super Saiyan state and then entering Legendary Super Saiyan Mode.
