A pitch-black cannonball flew straight toward the small boat they were riding. Under Akainu's orders, the Marines did not dare resist in the slightest. Shanks's expression darkened as well. The instant his words fell, the cannonball vanished into thin air. Just as Shanks and the others stared in shock, the vanished cannonball reappeared. This time, it hovered above Mirai's palm, several times larger than before, like a massive black planet.

Mirai launched the enormous cannonball at a warship ahead. Before it could even explode, the warship was smashed and sunk. When the cannonball detonated, two or three nearby warships were caught in the blast and sent flying into the air. The power of a single cannonball was this terrifying. The Marines on the other side were dumbfounded, and so were Shanks and the others. What had just happened? Why had a small cannonball turned into a huge one?
