Akainu Flees!

An orange laser shot straight at the warship Akainu was on like a laser cannon. The Glint-Glint Fruit truly lived up to its reputation for possessing the speed of light; its attack power was extraordinarily formidable. The warship was pierced through the instant it was struck by the laser, breaking apart into fragments. The Marines aboard had no idea what had happened and all fell into the sea. The Sea Kings lurking beneath the water had long since been alarmed by the cannon fire. One after another, they ferociously burst from the depths, opened their bloody maws, and swallowed every fallen Marine whole. One of them even bit toward Akainu.

"Get lost!" Fury soared within Akainu as he punched the Sea King's lower jaw. The tremendous force punched straight through the enormous creature. Magma erupted from the top of its head, and it was dead beyond saving. Akainu stepped through the air with Moon Walk and stopped in midair, looking in Mirai's direction. However, he was not looking at Mirai himself, but searching everywhere for Kizaru. Having worked with Kizaru for so long, he naturally understood the Glint-Glint Fruit well. He wanted to see what Kizaru meant by attacking the warship.

Naturally, Akainu could not comprehend that a living person could be stripped of their Devil Fruit ability, nor did he know that Mirai had launched the previous attack. He probably still believed Kizaru had betrayed them.

Shanks and the others restrained the Marines, then drove the warship toward Akainu. Since the warship Akainu had been on was attacked and Mirai's group had already charged over, all the warships had ceased fire and turned their cannons toward Mirai's vessel. If not for the several hundred Marines still aboard Mirai's ship, they would have already opened fire.
