The enormous ship seemed to have lost all gravity, continuously rising into the sky. Everyone curiously watched the clouds drifting past them from time to time. Vivi was especially thrilled, while Shanks and the others marveled at Li's methods. He had actually made such a massive ship take flight. They could no longer fathom what kind of power this was.

Li stood at the bow, his eyes rippling with mysterious patterns as they stared ahead. The ship had risen into the air because he had used repulsive force to push the entire vessel upward. It was only a ship—if Li wished, he could easily make even a mountain float. Of course, maintaining it continuously would be somewhat difficult, since it consumed an enormous amount of chakra. Repulsion and attraction were entirely different from Golden Lion's Float-Float Fruit ability. Li used the Rinnegan's ocular power to temporarily control gravitational and repulsive forces, whereas Golden Lion's Float-Float Fruit completely stripped them away. One was control, the other was deprivation; there was a world of difference between the two. Once an island's gravity and repulsion had been completely stripped away, it became lighter than a leaf and could easily rise into the sky. Just like outer space—there was no gravity there, so people would keep floating.

Five hours later, Li finally spotted a vague island in the distance. Seeing it, he no longer hesitated. Repulsive force immediately acted upon the stern, and the entire ship shot forward like an arrow released from its bow. Caught completely off guard, Shanks and the others nearly went sprawling.

In an instant, the Immortal crashed into an island and landed on the ground with a thunderous boom. Several small animals foraging nearby were so frightened that their fur stood on end, and they fled at once.
