| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | Divine Realm |
| Original Name | 神境 |
| Alias(es) | God Realm |
| Type | Transcendent cultivation realm above the Blood Exchange Realm 426 472 |
| First Appearance | Chapter 426 |
Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ninth Rank Below God | 472 | Classification for beings beneath the Divine Realm. Blood Exchange martial artists correspond roughly to First Rank Below God, while Celestial Beings can reach Second Rank Below God. |
| Half-Step Divine Realm | 493 507 | A threshold state exemplified by an Indestructible Soul and partial Divine Realm power; its wielder may command Heaven and Earth Power on an overwhelming scale but has not fully transcended the world. |
| Divine Realm / First Triple Heaven | 559 561 | Entering the realm fuses body and Heart Soul into God Power. The first three Heavens are measured by the number of Void layers one can break through. |
| Fourth Heaven | 518 563 | A major watershed. Fourth Heaven True Gods are recognized as Void Domain powerhouses and can use external avatars to preserve life imprints. |
| Fifth–Sixth Heaven | 563 598 | The gap from the Fourth to Fifth Heaven can be roughly tenfold; higher Heavens require far greater God Power, Source Path comprehension, secret techniques, and divine weapons. |
| Seventh Heaven | 518 597 | The threshold of a God Monarch, granting the standing to roam Void Domains and potentially rule one. |
| Eighth Heaven | 518 637 | A level associated with major God Monarch overlords; Fan Gu God Monarch is described as a powerful Eighth Heaven existence. |
| Ninth Heaven | 518 675 | The highest Heaven within the Divine Realm hierarchy and the level of peerless God Monarchs. |
| Beyond Ninth Heaven | 518 | The Origin Void Domain contains existences above the Ninth Heaven, showing that the Divine Realm is not the ultimate endpoint of cultivation. |
Terminology and Standing
- The Divine Realm is identified in Great Wilderness records as the ultimate destination toward which different cultivation paths converge; Blood Exchange is the end of martial arts in the ordinary sense, but not the end of cultivation itself 472.
- In the Seeking Wood Cave Heaven, the Blood Exchange Realm is called the Spirit Ancestor Realm. This is a different name for the eighth Body Tempering stage, not the Divine Realm 426.
- Mortal legends of gods, Buddhas, and immortals often arose from ordinary people mistaking powerful Grandmasters, Blood Exchange experts, and Celestial Beings for divine beings 360 426.
- The Divine Realm represents the true separation between mortals and gods; even a completed Blood Exchange Realm cultivator must overcome an immense final restraint to enter it 476.
Entry into the Divine Realm
Requirements
- Both the physical body and Heart Soul must be tempered to their limits; completion alone is insufficient 476.
- A cultivator must gain recognition from the supreme rules and receive the Source River's bestowal, which breaks the shackles imposed by heaven and earth 561.
- God Power foundation can only be accumulated before entering the Divine Realm 517.
- Ordinary entrants may possess up to nine portions of God Power foundation, while Chen Mu entered with ten portions and received a tenfold-normal foundation from the Source River 550 560.
First Ascendant of a World
- A world that has never produced a Divine Realm existence places harsher restraints on ascension 561.
- Its first ascendant gains the ability to alter that world's rules of heaven and earth, though careless changes can destroy all life within it 561.
- Great Xuan's first martial artist to enter the Divine Realm was Chen Mu 559.
Nature of Divine Realm Life
God Power
God Power is produced by the qualitative fusion of Heart Soul and matter. It is neither ordinary soul nor physical substance, and becomes the foundation of a Divine Realm existence's life 561.
- The quantity and intensity of God Power are the primary determinants of combat strength 585.
- Each basic unit of God Power contains a complete life imprint 563.
- God Power Secret Techniques temper and amplify God Power, but require corresponding Source Path comprehension 563 571.
- The Spirit Birth Divine Method is a God Monarch-level God Power Secret Technique with four layers and a potential ninetyfold amplification of God Power upon completion 566.
Immortality and Life Imprints
- Once body and soul are fused into God Power, a Divine Realm being no longer undergoes ordinary birth and death 547.
- Divine Realm beings can refine external avatars or preserve separated life imprints; as long as one survives, they can slowly cultivate a new true body 563.
- This protection is far more reliable from the Fourth Heaven onward. Lower-Heaven beings may have all life imprints erased remotely by sufficiently powerful opponents 563.
Formless and Faceless Existence
- At the Divine Realm, life becomes Formless and Faceless in essence; outward forms are manifestations rather than fixed racial distinctions 578.
- Most Divine Realm beings nevertheless assume human form while traveling through the Void 578.
Powers and Capabilities
Void Travel
- Entering the Divine Realm grants the ability to travel through the Void 518.
- A Double Heaven existence can traverse a Void Domain, though traveling with one's true body remains difficult and dangerous 518.
- Heaven levels are measured by how many layers of Void a being can break: one portion of God Power can break the first layer, three portions the second, and nine portions the third 561.
World Creation and Rule Manipulation
- A Divine Realm being can open a Cave Heaven within its own body using God Power 561.
- Chen Mu created an Inner World, generated innate life within it, and could freeze or destroy that life by changing its operating rules 561.
- Altering a complete world's rules requires extreme care, as even minor errors may cause catastrophic harm to its inhabitants 561 570.
Source Paths
The three fundamental Source Paths underpin Divine Realm cultivation and the Cosmos itself 498.
| Source Path | Function |
|---|---|
| Creation Path | Encompasses creation and destruction; it includes phenomena such as life, death, yin and yang, and the transformation of opposites 498. |
| Void Path | Carries all things and governs the Void through which worlds and Divine Realm beings travel 498. |
| Years Path | Witnesses and records all things across time 498. |
- The three paths contain fifteen fundamental profundities and countless branches 585.
- Source Path comprehension governs the cultivation of God Power Secret Techniques and allows deeper use of Source Power 571 574.
- God Realm strength is chiefly determined by God Power, divine weapons, secret techniques, and Source Path attainment 563.
Divine Weapons
- Divine weapons are weapons intended for Divine Realm existences, standing above mortal Spirit Weapons 507.
- Before ascension, a sufficiently advanced cultivator may wield one through Source Path understanding, but cannot release its full power 563.
- In Divine Realm hands, divine weapons can greatly amplify God Power and Source Path-based attacks 563.
- High-grade divine weapons are generally associated with God Monarchs, while Great Path Treasures surpass them and are wielded by Great Dao Honored Ones 592.
Interaction with Worlds
- God Realm beings from beyond a world are strongly rejected by that world's will when attempting to descend 500.
- The Great Xuan World's will suppressed a Divine Realm demonic hand that emerged through the Creation Great Array, preventing its power from fully permeating the world 502.
- A world capable of producing Divine Realm beings is called a Great World; the Great Xuan World barely qualified before Chen Mu's ascension 571.
- The Great Xuan World later developed a distinct Heaven Realm populated by countless Divine Realm beings 676.
History
The term “Divine Realm” first came to Chen Mu's attention through information connected to the Seeking Wood Cave Heaven. He initially considered whether it might merely be another name for Blood Exchange, then concluded that it was more likely the ninth step beyond the Body Tempering Eight Realms 426.
Records in the White Jade Pavilion later confirmed that Blood Exchange was not the final state of cultivation and that all paths ultimately led toward the Divine Realm. Those records also established the Ninth Rank Below God classification used in the Great Wilderness 472.
Ancient Demons and the Demon Race possessed True Demons who had already entered the Divine Realm. Their attempts to invade weaker worlds were constrained by the resistance of each world's will, which strongly rejected foreign Divine Realm power 498 500.
Chen Mu entered the Divine Realm in the Earth Abyss after merging his Heart Soul and physical body, becoming Great Xuan's first martial artist to achieve the realm 559. His ascension drew repeated Source River bestowals and granted him ten portions of God Power foundation 560.
Over the following thousands of Realm Years, the Great Xuan World produced further Divine Realm beings, beginning with Xu Hongyu as its second known ascendant 594.
