Five soul rings 187 Returned from the Dragon Tomb with a fifth soul ring, allowing her to leave Dragon Valley through the Dragon Pearl.

Background

Na'er is an avatar of the Silver Dragon King, created when Gu Yue separated part of her emotions and power and sent that portion to Shrek Academy. Before her memories returned, Na'er lived as Lan Kai’s younger sister and Juggler’s adopted child, deliberately maintaining the identity of a person without a Martial Soul. 4 12

Juggler attempted to awaken her Martial Soul twice. The first attempt produced no response; during the second, his dark power caused a massive Silver Dragon phantom to manifest behind her. He immediately withdrew his power and kept her true identity secret. 5

After her sealed memories awakened, Na'er chose to leave Lan Kai and Juggler to follow her own path. She later entered Shrek Academy’s Inner Court as Yun Ming’s disciple, where her presence and influence made Shrek City effectively her territory. 8 9 64 80

Appearance

Na'er is a white-haired girl whose smooth, long hair falls down her back. 64 87

  • Often carries food, particularly fried chicken. 64 65
  • Uses the Silver Dragon Spear in combat. 82 87
  • Wore a fitted white Tang Sect combatant uniform with a cloak, hood, and full-face metal mask during the Dragon Valley operation. 179

Personality

Na'er is deeply attached to Lan Kai and openly protective of him. She worries about his health, wants to remain near him, and readily trusts his support when confronting dangers connected to her identity. 132 172

Her outwardly affectionate and playful manner conceals a competitive, forceful side. She treats Gu Yue as both a rival and an inseparable counterpart, reacts fiercely to schemes that threaten Lan Kai or his friends, and insists that she will retain her own identity even if she merges with Gu Yue. 87 96 172

Na'er is also practical in dangerous situations. She separated from Ye Xinglan inside the Dragon Tomb, directed her toward a beneficial route, and secretly summoned Gu Yue only after confirming that nobody was nearby. 181

  • Has an enormous appetite and is particularly sensitive to food shortages. 4 180 181
  • Enjoys fighting and improving through direct combat. 159 174
  • Can act deceptively when useful, including convincingly pretending she did not know Lan Kai would not attend Shrek Academy. 64

Abilities & Skills

Silver Dragon King Power

Na'er possesses a portion of the Silver Dragon King’s power and later becomes a vessel for the Dragon God’s divided power.

  • Her original nature was concealed behind a false “no Martial Soul” status. 5
  • Following the Dragon God’s dragon-soul division, she gained a crystal representing her power and the potential to fuse the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings’ powers. 184
  • Her power and Gu Yue’s are linked, but fusion has caused severe backlash; residual Light of Orb and Dark Ring energy once left Na'er unconscious. 154
  • She intends to preserve her individuality even if a full reunion with Gu Yue becomes possible. 172

Spatial Power

Na'er is highly proficient in short-range teleportation and spatial concealment.

  • Teleports herself directly into an opponent’s path or blind spot for sudden close-range attacks. 159 174
  • Can briefly hide in another dimension after teleporting, reducing the spatial disturbance that would reveal her position. 175
  • Her teleportation cannot carry other people with her. 88
  • Used spatial movement to leave the Dragon Valley return bus rather than wait for Tang Sect procedures. 187

Silver Dragon Spear

Na'er’s principal weapon is the Silver Dragon Spear.

  • Pierced Gu Yue’s shoulder during the First Year class-president contest and disrupted Gu Yue’s attempt to use spatial power. 87
  • Can be concealed in a reduced form along her arm before being deployed. 174
  • Used alongside spatial movement to pressure Lan Kai during their tournament semifinal. 175

Hand-to-Hand Combat

Na'er combines enhanced physical ability, teleportation, and techniques learned from Lan Kai and Juggler.

  • Defeated Dai Yun'er by repeatedly teleporting into attack positions and overwhelming her with punches and throws. 159
  • Attempted a spinning kick powerful enough that Lan Kai intervened to prevent her from striking the referee’s barrier again. 159
  • Fought Lan Kai without releasing her Martial Soul during the individual-tournament semifinal, using the match to test the gap between her techniques and his. 174 175

Equipment / Items

  • Silver Dragon Spear — Na'er’s primary combat weapon. 82 87
  • Bemstar card — Given by Lan Kai for defensive protection and to help him locate her during the Dragon Valley operation. 179
  • Dragon Pearl — Tang Sect emergency escape device activated with spiritual power to leave Dragon Valley. 180 187
  • Silver dragon scale — Used to contact Gu Yue and initiate preparations for fusion. 181
  • Tang Sect combatant outfit — White uniform with a cloak, hood, and mask used for the Dragon Valley mission. 179

Relationships

  • Lan Kai — Sworn older brother and Na'er’s closest family. He protects her, helps plan her Battle Armor, and provides safeguards for her missions. 4 99 179
  • Juggler — Adoptive guardian who discovered Na'er’s true form during her awakening and trained alongside Lan Kai while keeping her identity secret. 4 5
  • Gu Yue — Na'er’s original counterpart and rival. Their competition for Lan Kai’s attention is intense, but they cooperate when confronting the Dragon Tomb and Dragon God’s power. 80 87 181 184
  • Yun Ming — Na'er’s Shrek Academy Inner Court teacher. 80
  • Ye Xinglan — Initially repeatedly defeated by Na'er over her conflict with Lan Kai; later received Na'er’s advice and became her assigned Dragon Valley partner. 65 84 180
  • Dai Yun'er — Tournament opponent whom Na'er decisively defeated with teleportation-assisted hand-to-hand combat. 158 159
  • Tang Wulin — Fellow Shrek student and Tang Sect operation participant; Na'er suspected him of buying up nearly all available breakfast before entering Dragon Valley. 181

Story Role / Major Arcs

Separation and Shrek Academy

After recovering her memories, Na'er departed from Lan Kai and Juggler, then reappeared years later as a Shrek Academy Inner Court disciple. Her reunion with Lan Kai immediately intensified Gu Yue’s jealousy. 8 9 64

First-Year Class President Contest

Na'er entered the contest to oppose Gu Yue’s schemes. She and Ye Xinglan endured being surrounded by stronger-ranked students, then Na'er ambushed Gu Yue with the Silver Dragon Spear and removed her from the competition. Na'er was subsequently elected First Year Class President. 80 87 89

Conflict with Gu Yue and the Dark Ring

Na'er supported Lan Kai against Gu Yue’s Dark Ring-fueled actions and openly disapproved of Gu Yue’s underhanded tactics. After Gu Yue lost her wager with Lan Kai, Na'er became more assertive in confronting and teasing her counterpart. 91 96

Star Luo Tournament

Na'er represented Shrek Academy in the Star Luo tournament. Despite concern over her physical condition, she easily defeated Dai Yun'er, then faced Lan Kai in the individual-event semifinal to test her teleportation, spear work, and close-quarters skills. 158 159 174 175

Dragon Tomb and Dragon Burial

Na'er joined the Tang Sect’s Dragon Valley operation, separated from Ye Xinglan after entering the pocket dimension, and contacted Gu Yue to prepare their fusion. Trivia

  • Na'er wanted to become one of the Shrek Seven Devils. 132
  • She admired Ultramen after Lan Kai told her about the Land of Light and asked to learn hand-to-hand combat from Haruki. 191
