Background / History

The Asura God is the original holder of the Asura God position rather than Tang San. He is described as a ruthless God King who slew the Dragon God with his sword. He later married Lin Qingqing, the Rakshasa God, and they had a son, Chen Doudou. Their relationship remains highly combative, particularly over how to raise their child. 1

He intended Chen Doudou to inherit the Asura God position and taught him to resolve problems through slaughter, including using enemies' blood for cultivation. In contrast, the Rakshasa God encouraged schemes and deception. Their sustained attempts to instill evil values in Doudou ultimately contributed to his desire to pursue kindness instead. 1

When Doudou awakened the Kindness Personality and declared his wish to become the King of Kindness, the Asura God joined the Rakshasa God in physically disciplining him. Though the couple ordinarily oppose one another, they repeatedly unite when attempting to steer their son back toward evil. 1 3

Unable to accept Doudou's aspirations, the Asura God convened gods of the evil faction in Asura Hall to seek a solution. He approved the proposal to send Doudou to the Douluo Continent, expecting the lower realm's cruelty to awaken his son's alleged evil nature. He ultimately appointed Bibi Dong as Doudou's guardian and promised to seek a first-tier divine position for her if she succeeded in changing him. 3 4

Appearance

During his intervention in Chen Doudou's sea of consciousness, the Asura God appeared in scarlet armor, bathed in blood-colored aura and carrying the Asura Demon Sword. 36

Personality

The Asura God is proud, violent, and intensely invested in the legacy of his divine position. He considers slaughter the proper means of solving problems and sees Doudou's Kindness- and Life-aligned powers as a humiliation to the family name. 1 6

Despite his harsh parenting and frequent anger, he is fiercely protective of his son. He reacts with outrage when Doudou is endangered or sexually harassed in the lower realm, and he personally eliminates the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm when it attempts to enter Doudou's mental space. 9 36

He is also easily provoked by the God of Destruction, whose mockery of Doudou's benevolent development repeatedly frustrates him. The Asura God and Rakshasa God habitually reinterpret Doudou's compassionate actions as elaborate schemes, allowing them to take pride in him despite evidence to the contrary. 13 15 23 30

The Plan to Corrupt Doudou

He gathers the evil faction to devise a means of changing Doudou's mind. Accepting the God of Trickery's proposal, he sends Doudou to the Douluo Continent and appoints Bibi Dong to act as guardian, expecting her to cultivate Doudou's evil side. 3 4 7

Watching the Lower Realm

From the God Realm, the Asura God watches Doudou's lower-realm experiences. He celebrates Doudou's physical fighting and repeatedly tries to interpret healing, compassion, and alliance-building as hidden evil tactics. 12 13 16 23 26

Protection of Chen Doudou

When the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm attempts to sacrifice itself and enter Doudou's mental space, the Asura God and Rakshasa God intervene directly. The Asura God destroys the soul beast's mental body with the Asura Demon Sword, leaving its million-year soul ring behind. 36

Spirit-Devouring Carving Knife

The Asura God's Divine Sense annihilates the carving knife's invading evil intent before it can harm Doudou. He then assists with the knife's purification, allowing its life-giving true form to be revealed. 64
