Wood Clone number one—that is, the wood clone that had been forced into Susanoo first—had already used it ahead of the others, so it simply went straight to using Susanoo against its enemy, abandoning the more varied options of ninjutsu and taijutsu.

Naturally, the goal was to draw out as much information on Shiro as possible while exposing as little of its own as it could.

But that suited Shiro perfectly. He could use this chance to test whether the Noble Phantasms he had been devising could effectively deal with the Uchiha. After all, out there among the enemies he had to face was an Obito who was ninety-nine percent likely to have already awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.

The current Obito was not like in the original work, left with only one eye. With both eyes intact, there was no way he would not use Susanoo. Now that Shiro had a specimen right here, why would he not take advantage of it?

Although he had run some experiments with Fugaku before, Fugaku did not have the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and using Susanoo too much would blind him. So Shiro had only tested the most important Noble Phantasms, and the rest of his tactical ideas had not yet been verified. This was the perfect opportunity.

With that thought, Shadow Clone number one, which was facing Wood Clone number one, had a flash in its eyes. As it dodged Susanoo's attack, a curtain of light flickered faintly inside its sleeve, and it instantly swapped Noble Phantasms with another shadow clone.

There was no helping it. Although they could use Projection Magecraft, for some unknown reason they could not project Noble Phantasms. This was also a problem Shiro had always wanted to overcome.

Because Noble Phantasms themselves were not actually his trump card.
