About the recent updates, I want to apologize to everyone. They haven't just been sporadic—the quality has been poor too, and those of you following along have probably noticed.
As for the reasons, there are mainly a few.
First, though I really don't want to admit it, I've hit writer's block. Not with the overall plot—I finished organizing the outline all the way to the ending a long time ago. I won't go into the specifics, so no one suspects a rushed ending.
What I'm stuck on right now is the specific plot design and how to handle some of the writing. I've been really conflicted about the recent plot, because there are a lot of things I need to explain, but if I write them all together, it gets really padded.
If I weave them in, then I'll inevitably have to open up minor side plots, which is still padding. If I don't write them, it feels a bit hollow, so I've been badly stuck.
The one that left the deepest impression on me was the writer's block from a couple days ago. In three days, I only wrote 2,000 words, and the awful kind at that. Compared to before, it's really far off. Back then, even if I wasn't as productive as a sow, I could still manage two updates a day. But now...
The second reason is my personal work situation. Today, because of this damn pandemic, I was forced to change jobs, going straight from apprentice to teacher.
I'm honestly completely baffled, and the pressure is pretty heavy too. After all, I have to produce results for my boss. And recently, because of an error in his cost calculations, my side has ended up operating at a loss again.
