Katsuragi Kohei stood up from his seat. His mature, adult-like voice and signature bald head drew everyone's attention: "Hello everyone, my name is Katsuragi Kohei. We will be living together for the next three years of our school life. Therefore, I propose that any students who wish to get to know everyone quickly may choose to stand up and introduce themselves so we can become familiar with one another."
Perhaps spurred on by Katsuragi Kohei, others began to introduce themselves as well, until it finally reached Long Aotian.
Long Aotian stood up and introduced himself: "Hello everyone, my name is Long Aotian. I am very happy to be spending the next three years with all of you. Please treat me well in the future."
After his introduction, Long Aotian did not pay any further attention to the situation in the classroom.
Once the class introductions were finished, the school speakers crackled to life, signaling that it was time for the entrance ceremony.
Upon arriving at the gymnasium, the students stood in four rows corresponding to classes A, B, C, and D.
As time slowly ticked by toward the conclusion of the event, a boy with refreshing black hair and black-rimmed glasses walked slowly onto the podium.
"I am the Student Council President of this school, Horikita Manabu."
"On behalf of the current students, I extend a warm welcome to this year's incoming class..."
After a long-winded speech, the entrance ceremony finally came to an end.
As everyone began to file out, Long Aotian prepared to head to a club to earn some points.
That's right! Earning points through clubs. In his past life, he had been quite fond of anime about strength and had read several fan-fiction novels where the protagonists went to clubs to gamble and go all-in to earn points.
There was no helping it; this was the only way to earn points quickly.
His first stop was the Martial Arts Club. After all, since his strength and speed were both S-rank or higher, choosing this was the right move.
He arrived at the entrance of the Martial Arts Club.
A student from the Martial Arts Department asked, "Classmate, are you here to join the Martial Arts Club?"
Long Aotian didn't waste any words. He pulled out his student terminal, which displayed the 100,000 points he hadn't spent yet: "I would like to use 100,000 points as a wager to compete against you seniors."
"Junior, are you sure you want to bet 100,000 points against us?"
"That's right."
Just then, a somewhat muscular student walked over.
"Interesting. Class 1 of the new grade really is full of talent."
"If you lose this match against us, you won't have a single point to spend for the next month."
Long Aotian didn't mince words: "There is no need for you seniors to worry about that. I don't believe I will lose."
"Arrogant!"
A member of the Martial Arts Club said, "To prevent you from reneging on the debt, junior, we should first bring over a teacher and sign a contract guaranteed by the school. Is that acceptable?"
"That is acceptable."
Soon, the faculty advisor arrived. Under his guarantee, Long Aotian signed a competition contract with the Martial Arts Club students worth 100,000 points.
The terms of the contract were simple:
If Long Aotian won, the opponent would transfer 100,000 points to Long Aotian.
If Long Aotian lost, Long Aotian would transfer 100,000 points to the opponent.
After signing the contract, one member remarked, "Junior, you might not know the strength of our Martial Arts Club. Don't make a decision you'll regret after you lose."
Once they stepped onto the stage, the match officially began.
Soon, thanks to his extremely high stats and skills, he won by a narrow margin.
That's right, a narrow margin. In reality, he could have finished it quickly or ended it in one move, but Long Aotian didn't do that. After all, he still needed to gamble for points later and couldn't afford to expose his true strength so soon.
"Thank you for the points, senior." Perhaps that statement was dripping with sarcasm.
The defeated senior felt a bit of irritation: "Damn it! It was just a narrow loss; I was careless and didn't dodge."
But there was nothing he could do; he reluctantly transferred the points to Long Aotian and then said, "Junior, how about we go again? Still a 100,000-point wager."
"No, I'm someone who likes excitement and going all-in. I want to bet 200,000 points." Long Aotian held up two fingers in a scissors gesture.
"200,000 points?"
The senior's expression soured; 200,000 points was no longer a small sum.
"Bring it on!" Perhaps feeling that Long Aotian had only won by a hair, or perhaps convinced that he had only lost because he was careless and didn't dodge, he decided to go all in, thinking he would be more careful this time.
"Bring it on!"
Immediately, with the faculty advisor's guarantee, the second contract was quickly signed.
Not long after.
The senior was defeated once again.
"How is it a narrow loss again!"
At this point, everyone realized something was wrong. After all, one could explain away the first match, but if the second one ended the same way, something was definitely off.
400,000 points. Still not enough; he needed at least 2.5 million.
Long Aotian looked at the points on his phone and shook his head.
At this moment, a senior wearing glasses and a school uniform walked out, his clothes barely concealing the muscles beneath. "Hello, junior. I am the president of this Fighting Club, and I would like to have a match with you."
He looked refined and scholarly on the surface, enough to fool the average person, but Long Aotian had undergone life-or-death training and possessed a cheat (mostly the cheat), so he could tell at a glance that this person was no simple character.
"I want to wager 400,000 points. How about it?" Long Aotian held up four fingers.
"No problem." The senior agreed readily.
Once again, under the guarantee of the instructor, the third contract was signed in short order.
Just then, a senior's voice rang out: "Hahaha, the president is the runner-up in the national fighting tournament!"
Stepping onto the stage, the match was about to begin. Watching the senior take a left-forward stance, Long Aotian thought, This guy is no amateur.
The match began!
The senior threw a straight punch at his face, but Long Aotian blocked it with both hands covering his face.
The senior feinted, then seized the momentum to dive for a takedown.
A double-leg takedown combined with a well-executed feint.
Long Aotian slid his legs back, quickly sprawled to defend the takedown, and used his hands to control the opponent's body, forcing him to lean forward.
Long Aotian followed the sprawl with a switch-step knee strike aimed straight at the face.
The senior dropped his legs, switched to a face block, and quickly retreated.
Long Aotian didn't let up, immediately closing the distance with a low sweep kick.
The senior lifted his leg to block, then took a step back to widen the gap once more.
The senior shifted into a classic American boxing guard, bobbing and weaving.
A right straight punch came flying in; Long Aotian parried with his right hand, leaned back, and followed up with a left straight punch.
The senior swayed his body backward to dodge the left hook and quickly retreated.
Long Aotian lunged forward, dropping his body weight and throwing a right leg kick toward the face. The senior retreated while blocking, and Long Aotian followed up with a ground-touching spinning left kick.
Unable to retreat in time, the senior took the hit, blocking with his arms while swaying his body to the right.
The senior tried to push off the ground with his right hand.
Perhaps his reaction was too slow or his strength insufficient; he failed to push himself up and collapsed to the ground.
Long Aotian finished his follow-through, and while the senior was down, he lunged forward, pinning him down and raining left and right punches toward his face.
The senior had no choice but to cover his face with his arms, curling his legs to push off the ground and create space.
Long Aotian leaned back, then put his weight into another barrage of left and right punches.
The senior kept his guard up, looking for an opening.
Alas, Long Aotian's pinning technique was flawless, and he continued to press the attack.
"I concede. You win, junior." The senior said, his arms flushed red from blocking.
"Are you alright, senior?" Long Aotian stood up, backed away, and helped the senior to his feet.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." The senior stood up.
Fine, my foot, Long Aotian thought. He was almost knocked out. That guy is genuinely strong.
"Long Aotian wins," the instructor announced.
Long Aotian checked his phone and received the 400,000 points from the senior.
After paying the 400,000 points, the senior asked, "You have great skills, junior. How come I've never heard of you before?"
"Uh, I'm not really interested in tournaments."
I couldn't exactly tell him that I'd only been in this world for a year and didn't have the time to compete—it was a miracle I hadn't starved to death yet.
"I see. If you were to participate in the national fighting tournament, I bet you could take first place."
"You flatter me, senior. I just had the upper hand."
"..."
That left the senior speechless. Don't tell me he was holding back?
"Well, thank you for the points, senior. I have other business to attend to, so I'll be taking my leave."
"Sure, see you, junior."
He now had 800,000 points in his account. Next, he had to visit other clubs to keep gambling.
Before leaving the Fighting Club, Long Aotian called the instructor to accompany him.
The instructor was quite surprised. Is this student really going to keep going to other clubs?
As expected, the instructor had guessed correctly.
Long Aotian used the same routine to challenge other clubs.
Fighting Club: 800,000 points. (Including the original 100,000 points)
Chess Club: 500,000 points.
Table Tennis Club: 600,000 points.
Badminton Club: 800,000 points.
Total: 2.7 million points.
I have to say, these club members really have a lot of points. The Badminton Club in particular almost made me lose my temper; if it weren't for the faculty advisor, Long Aotian probably wouldn't have made it out.
PS: There are more school clubs than just these, and Long Aotian isn't omnipotent; he only picked the clubs he was best at.
The last club, the Chess Club...
