I heard that you wished to use the world's spiritual veins as kindling, to burn away one person's lifespan. If this came to pass, I no longer wished to dwell on how later generations' history books would record it.

You had governed the Human Alliance for five hundred years. You once said, "Law and order are the backbone of the world." I believed you.

I spent nearly my entire life in the Law Palace. Every day, I saw orders, approvals, and secret letters—neat handwriting, uniform formats. I could not tell which of them had anything to do with you, but I knew they all ultimately led to that desk of yours called "ambition and desire."

You established order in the name of law and order, and now you were tearing it down in the name of transcending law and order.
