The Azure Dragon first manifests before Xuan Qing as a majestic cyan phantom in a boundless space. It enters Xuan Qing alongside the Chaos Qilin and initiates the Azure Dragon God Trial, whose first requirement is reaching level 10 Soul Power within one year; failure carries eradication as its penalty. 2

After Xuan Qing completes the first trial in half a year, the Azure Dragon purifies his bloodline, causes the Green Scale Python martial soul to transform, and grants an additional use of a God King-level Azure Dragon phantom. It then issues a second trial: reach level 20 Soul Power within two years and master one self-created soul skill. 4

When Xuan Qing sacrifices himself to end a plague, the true Azure Dragon descends through a cyan pillar connecting heaven and earth. Its roar disperses the plague clouds, and its Life Rain heals living beings throughout the Douluo Continent.
