Background / History

The sect first emerges in reports from Green Wind Prefecture, where it causes widespread disorder. Its name is associated with a sinister reputation even before it reaches Crow Mountain City. 19

Founded by Hu Feibai, the Blood Blade Old Ancestor, the sect was created primarily to gather wealth and cultivation resources for its founder rather than to preserve a martial inheritance. Hu Feibai accepts followers and techniques pragmatically so long as they can bring him benefits. 102

The sect seized all of Green Wind Prefecture before expanding northward. Its advance prompted the four great families and the Mountain Gang of Crow Mountain City to form the Anti-Blood Alliance. 57

Occupation of Crow Mountain City

The Blood Blade Sect captured Crow Mountain City and imposed martial law under Great Elder Lou Yan. Its disciples and allied soldiers searched homes, plundered families and gangs, arrested local leaders, and secured warehouses containing seized assets. 65 69 82

After Lou Yan marched north with the main army, Han Zong remained in the city to investigate Leng Yifeng's disappearance and pursue suspected enemies. Han's command was later destabilized by the deaths of Han Zong and Pan Yue, as well as the theft of the sect's supplies. 69 79 81 88

War with the Clear Wood Sect

The Blood Blade Sect and Clear Wood Sect have maintained a century-long feud and stand as the two dominant sects of Red Maple Prefecture. 130

At Hundred Treasures City, Lu Yuangui commanded the sect's army while Lou Yan led twelve Great Elders into battle. The elders, all Dan-Forming Realm experts, assaulted the city wall directly after the initial siege reached a stalemate. 89

The sect suffered a major rout when Hu Feibai was pursued by four Xiantian Realm experts and its army lost morale. Lou Yan later rallied the remnants at Crow Mountain City, while Lu Yuangui’s command briefly restored the sect’s battlefield position. Qi Wenxuan ultimately reversed those gains and forced the sect back toward Green Wind Prefecture. 130
