Faced with this statement, Thaddeus E. Ross merely smiled, then narrowed his eyes as he watched the German Foreign Office vehicles slowly approaching from the other side of the airport. He did not care about Tony Stark's objections at all. If the Democratic Party won the next presidential election, Tony Stark would be appointed Minister of Defence while Ross became vice president. That position would hold the authority to enforce the Sokovia Accords within the United States and supervise all Ability Enhancers in the United States and Europe. Secretary of State Ross knew Tony Stark wanted to protect the Avengers, so he would never give up that position. Besides, the best way to implement the Sokovia Accords was to have an Avenger oversee their enforcement. That would allow both the public and Ability Enhancers to trust the government.
