Praetorian Guard Zero's lineage was a secret. Salomon could trace it back only as far as Theodora, the youngest daughter of Constantine VIII—the empress described in history books as proud of her beauty, stubborn, and severe. It could be said that the Undead Prophet, the Source of Divinity, and even the Lost City, Kitezh, which Laura Croft had discovered, were all connected to that bloodline. One of the Undead Prophet's most important missions was to perpetuate it. Every marriage arrangement among that child's ancestors had been controlled by the Prophetess, preserving the secret hidden in that bloodline through the pitiful sin of incest. It was also one of the Lost City's countless secrets that could never be allowed to come to light.

Salomon had no idea what had happened after he leaped through time that had created a soul connection between him and Praetorian Guard Zero, but that did not prevent him from using Gene Alchemy on Zero and using his body to contain his superhuman strength. He succeeded, replicating the technology acquired from the Praetorian Guard corpses onto Praetorian Guard Zero. Now, Salomon needed to thoroughly train Praetorian Guard Zero's abilities and give him a name once his training was complete.

The trials Salomon gave Praetorian Guard Zero were no easier than Heracles' Twelve Labors in myth. Likewise, he eagerly anticipated Zero completing them. He had already prepared a true name for him.

A true name was not a fixed concept; people in different eras possessed different true names. "Salomon Damonet, Master of the City of Immortals," or "Salomon Damonet, Master of XXX Manor in Oxfordshire"—both could refer to Salomon, yet neither was accurate.
