Ino sat on the edge of the bed, his mind feeling somewhat chaotic.
His memories, or rather the memories of his predecessor, seemed to have issues.
He had obtained the memories and facts from his predecessor regarding "himself" having trained at a training base.
At the same time, he possessed his predecessor's reaction speed and mimicry learning ability, which surpassed those of a normal Coordinator.
However, there were almost no details regarding the specific training content or methods his predecessor underwent at the base; there were only some vague impressions.
The only thing he knew was that the training was exhausting and agonizing.
Furthermore, if one fell behind in the rankings or made a mistake, they would be executed on the spot. His predecessor had not perceived anything abnormal about this, nor did he have any psychological issues regarding it.
After experiencing such terrifying training for so long, he had somehow managed to integrate into the Coordinator community just like a normal person.
As his thoughts and recollections deepened, Ino felt an inexplicable sense of palpitations and panic.
Fragments of memory began to flash through his mind for no apparent reason.
That feeling of pain and suffocation surged in like a tide, and the darkness known as fear seemed ready to swallow him whole.
Beep-beep—
Suddenly, the sound of the tightly shut door activating echoed through the room.
Ino looked over by reflex.
"Sorry, I..."
Murrue, who had just been about to speak, suddenly froze in place, her body involuntarily stepping backward.
Bang!
"Ouch, my nose."
Mu, who was following closely behind, was stepped on by Murrue and bumped his head against her back.
Ensign Badgiruel was walking at the rear; seeing Mu falling backward, she instinctively stepped aside.
She then looked at Captain Murrue in front: "What is it? What happened?"
"Ah? Oh, it's nothing."
Captain Murrue shook her head and looked back at Ino.
"What's wrong with you all?"
Ino, looking perfectly normal, sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes filled with bewilderment as he looked at Captain Murrue and the others.
"It's nothing, sorry. We were delayed by something just now."
Captain Murrue looked at the composed Ino; though she was puzzled, she didn't say anything more.
As she spoke, she walked in with Ensign Badgiruel and the others.
Mu rubbed his nose, followed them into the room, and pressed the button to close the door.
"You said in the hangar that you had something important to tell us. Can you say it now?"
Murrue said as she walked over to the bed opposite Ino and sat down.
"Before we discuss that, I want to ask you a question."
Ino thought for a moment and said.
"What question?"
Murrue asked in return.
"Are you planning to head to the Umbrella of Artemis next?"
Ino asked the group.
"Hm?"
Captain Murrue and the others couldn't help but look surprised at these words.
Mu looked at Ensign Badgiruel with a suspicious expression.
"Why are you looking at me? I only remembered this matter while on the bridge myself."
Ensign Badgiruel replied in astonishment.
"No, no, that was just an instinctive reaction."
Mu looked at Ensign Badgiruel's expression and couldn't help but laugh.
Captain Murrue was slightly stunned for a moment before generously admitting: "Yes, we are indeed planning to head to Artemis next, but how did you know?"
She didn't mind telling him the ship's next destination; after all, once they arrived, he would know regardless.
The question was how this guy had guessed it.
"It's simple. Because of the ZAFT attack, you set sail in a hurry, so you must have almost no living supplies. This place is at least half a month's journey from the Lunar Base, and the only other option would be to land directly on Earth, but you don't have enough supplies to last until either of those places."
Ino explained with a smile: "Besides, the Le Creuset Team is still lurking outside, and the Archangel itself lacks combat capability. Under these circumstances, your best choice is to head to the Umbrella of Artemis to seek help."
It was quite simple to reverse-engineer the logic when the answer was already known.
After all, this wasn't some math problem.
"You guy..."
Mu frowned as he listened to Eno's explanation.
Should he say it was truly worthy of a ZAFT genius, to have guessed the optimal solution in such a short amount of time?
And to think this guy could even guess that the Archangel was suffering from a shortage of supplies—
"Stop talking about meaningless things. Tell us exactly why you brought us here."
Just then, Lieutenant Badgiruel stepped forward. Whether he was clever or foolish didn't matter.
That wasn't the point; the point was the meaning and purpose behind him calling them over.
Lieutenant Badgiruel's words brought Captain Murrue and the others back to their senses.
Indeed, now didn't seem to be the time to be surprised by the other party's intellect.
Facing the gazes of the three, Eno stood up from the edge of the bed, straightened his clothes, and under their stunned eyes, gave a standard Earth Alliance military salute: "Eno Kamal, 2nd Squad, 3rd Secret Special Operations Unit, under the Eurasian Federation of the Earth Alliance, identification number 01104X74R4QLD3541, reporting for duty!"
In an instant, the room fell into a deathly silence.
Captain Murrue's mouth hung open in an 'O' shape, staring at Eno Kamal in disbelief.
Lieutenant Badgiruel and Mu were no better off.
In short, three completely bewildered people stood before Eno.
"You... what did you say?"
Mu, who had seen his fair share of storms, was the first to react: "You're saying you're from the Earth Alliance? One of our own?"
"Yes. Strictly speaking, I should be a spy sent by the Eurasian Federation to infiltrate ZAFT," Eno replied, nodding.
In truth, even now, Eno wasn't sure which side he actually belonged to.
Because his situation was just too absurd.
You could say he was from the Eurasian Federation, yet the ones he was loyal to were Blue Cosmos—or rather, the people he passed information to were Blue Cosmos, the secret controllers of the Atlantic Federation.
But if you said he was from the Atlantic Federation, it was the Eurasian Federation that had trained him, and even his identification number came from the Eurasian Federation.
It was just damn surreal.
"You're a spy?"
Mu felt his head spinning even more after hearing that.
The main thing was that this whole situation was just too ridiculous.
A spy fighting against his own side, only for his own side to capture the spy they had sent over.
Where on earth were they supposed to go to reason this out!
Captain Murrue and Lieutenant Badgiruel were completely at a loss for words.
This news was too shocking and too abrupt.
The person they were fighting to the death with just a moment ago was now telling them he was their own spy? Was this a movie!
"Wait, you say you're a spy, but how can you prove your identity?"
Lieutenant Badgiruel asked hurriedly.
An identification number alone couldn't fully prove his identity, and they didn't have access to archives or relevant identification terminals right now.
"I apologize. Due to the nature of my status and confidentiality, I have no concrete or direct way to prove my identity to you for the time being."
Eno had anticipated this and continued: "The only things that can prove my identity are my identification number and the relevant information files."
Captain Murrue and the others fell silent upon hearing this.
For a moment, none of the three knew what to say.
The main thing was that this whole affair... it was just completely outrageous.
