Background / History

In December, Le Creuset was a newly promoted white-uniform commander, Nebula Medal recipient, and captain of the Vesalius. While resting at his villa in PLANT, he received his friend, Councilor Gilbert Durandal, and attempted to determine why Durandal had investigated matters connected to Eno Kamal. Le Creuset accurately reconstructed Eno's likely escape plan but remained unsettled by Durandal's motives. 12

Patrick Zala later placed the exposed Eurasian spy Eno Kamal under Le Creuset's supervision. Le Creuset acknowledged Eno's exceptional talent and was assigned him through the newly formed Le Creuset Team. 15 17

During the Heliopolis operation, Le Creuset ordered his forces to equip heavy D-Equipment and personally sortie in his custom CGUE. He fought Mu La Flaga through the colony, using the enclosed port terrain to improve his advantage, but was eventually forced back after the Archangel intervened. 30 31 32 He subsequently appeared before the Supreme Council and argued that ZAFT had not intended to attack Heliopolis itself. 70

As the war continued, he treated Eno as a politically valuable asset rather than judging him by loyalty alone. He reviewed the identities of Eurasian spies in ZAFT, arranged an explanation for Eno's actions aboard the Archangel, and pressured him to align with Patrick Zala's faction. 89 98

Le Creuset remained a key ZAFT commander through the pursuit of the Archangel, the investigation of the Dreadnought Gundam, and later the pursuit of the Eternal. 150 213 At Mendel, he unexpectedly ordered attacks on both the Archangel and the Dominion while instructing Eno to ensure Muruta Azrael survived. His death was staged. Le Creuset abandoned ZAFT, joined Matisse and Earth Alliance forces, seized GENESIS Alpha, and took the Regenerate Gundam and Testament Gundam frame. He openly stated that he desired “humanity's darkness.” 219
