Background / History

During the Nine-Tails’ attack, Minato divided the beast’s chakra between Naruto and Menma, making both brothers jinchūriki. Minato and Kushina also left portions of their chakra within them to aid their future efforts to master the Nine-Tails’ power 1.

Naruto grew up beside Menma and began early shinobi training under Might Guy and Kakashi. He learned more slowly than Menma, but repeatedly persisted through chakra-control exercises and the foundational techniques of ninjutsu 7 8.

Naruto is stubborn, highly competitive, and prone to acting before thinking. He challenges a Kirigakure hunter-nin despite Kakashi’s warning, uses Rasenshuriken recklessly during Team 7’s assessment, and repeatedly turns low-rank missions into disasters through showboating 102 87 109.

He is also deeply protective of comrades.
