It was past eight in the morning when Hashirama Senju, leading a delegation of six, walked along the main road toward Kumogakure.
As the distance closed, Hashirama, who was walking in the lead, slowed his pace.
"Rokuya, tell me, once we reach Kumogakure, what attitude should I take toward the Third Raikage?"
Hashirama remembered his brother's instructions to go to Kumogakure and flex some muscle, but he felt rather awkward about the whole thing; he had never been one to bully the weak in his entire life.
"Lord Hashirama, you needn't worry too much. Once we arrive, you only need to keep a straight face, maintain a haughty air, and speak as little as possible," said Nara Rokuya, a Jonin of the Nara clan and Hashirama's deputy.
Nodding earnestly, Hashirama reached out and patted Rokuya on the shoulder. "Once we reach Kumogakure, I'll leave it to you. I shall follow your lead in everything."
"Understood!" Rokuya bowed his head slightly and replied respectfully.
After another ten minutes of travel, as they neared the gates of Kumogakure, Hashirama spotted the Third Raikage and several Kumogakure ninja waiting in the distance.
Glancing at Rokuya and seeing his strategist nod, Hashirama immediately adopted a cold, expressionless look and strode forward with great momentum toward the Kumogakure party.
Straight face, act haughty, speak little, flex muscle!
Hashirama kept repeating these four phrases in his mind, struggling to maintain his performance.
Stopping directly in front of the Third Raikage, Hashirama nearly broke into his habitual smile, but he forced himself to hold it back, his mouth twitching slightly.
Everyone present was a seasoned veteran; they watched every move of this great legend of the Shinobi World. Seeing his expressionless face look somewhat stiff, they couldn't help but feel a bit strange.
