Setting aside everything else, the mere ability to conceal his presence while infiltrating, combined with that large-scale Genjutsu, proved his extraordinary strength.

When Danzo recruited subordinates, his most common tactic was a combination of brainwashing through "the greater good," binding them with benefits, and threatening them with force. This three-pronged approach rarely failed.

"Do you want to change your current situation? Do you want to save those clansmen who are hiding and living in constant fear? Join me, join Root, and I can call off their pursuit." As he spoke, Danzo smiled and reached out a hand toward Kizaru.
"Clansmen? They are all dead; now, only I remain." Kizaru, of course, knew nothing of any defecting clansmen, so he put on an expression of grief and indignation.
