Senior Kizaru Is Such a Good Person!

Early the next morning, Nagato went to find Kizaru with a list of questions he had carefully prepared.

Nagato treasured this opportunity and had prepared a very detailed list of questions. He and Kizaru chatted in the study for almost the entire day.

From nine in the morning until five in the afternoon, the two of them spent all their time in the study, except for a two-hour break at noon.

Nagato had gained a great deal from the discussion. Not only had he learned the truth about the world's history, but he had also found a path to strive toward.

Nagato especially liked something Kizaru had said while answering his questions.

"Struggle for peace, and peace will endure; compromise for peace, and peace will perish."

The thinking behind those words and Nagato's own approach to pursuing peace were, in a sense, remarkably similar.

However, after their conversation, Nagato also became acutely aware of many of his own shortcomings.

The most obvious was that his strength wasn't nearly as great as he had imagined.

In the past, after enduring too much suffering and too many deceptions, Nagato had become a deeply paranoid person. He found it difficult to trust anyone, and he had extreme confidence in his own power, especially the power of the Rinnegan.

But after meeting Kizaru, witnessing his overwhelming presence, and learning the truth behind the Rinnegan, Nagato no longer arrogantly considered himself a god.

As Nagato came to see himself clearly, however, he swung to the opposite extreme: pessimism.

Setting aside the Rinnegan, which had never truly belonged to him, what could he accomplish on his own? Could he really change the world and bring about peace, as he dreamed of doing?
