Kizaru and Dragon's Conversation

"Are all the pirates around here this weak?"

Kizaru sat in a wooden chair with one leg crossed over the other. Luffy and the others were bound in front of him.

Luffy and his companions had only just set out to sea. They were obviously no match for the ninjas under Kizaru's command. After only a few exchanges, they had all been captured.

"Lord Hokage, they're not like the other pirates. They haven't done anything evil." Nami had spent some time with Luffy and the others, and knew they were different from those pirates who committed every kind of wicked deed. So she tried to plead on their behalf.

"Once they've become pirates, it's only a matter of time before they do something bad. I'm nipping the danger in the bud." Kizaru spoke calmly, leaving Nami no opening to plead further.

Of course, Kizaru wasn't actually going to execute them, nor had he taken a particular liking to them. He just wanted to use them to draw out the person behind Luffy.

If Kizaru remembered correctly, when Buggy was about to execute Luffy on the Execution Platform in Loguetown, his father, Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, had intervened.

That was the only clue Kizaru could recall, but he still wanted to try and see if he could use Luffy to draw Dragon out.

"Take them away and lock them up," Kizaru instructed Zen-hiko, who stood beside him.

"Yes!" Zen-hiko replied, then signaled to his subordinates to escort Luffy and the others away.

That night, Kizaru sat alone in his room, still wearing the clothes he'd had on during the day. He showed no intention of washing up.

He was waiting for Dragon to arrive. He had a feeling Dragon would show up that night.
