Sengoku's Headache

In the cafeteria at the Expeditionary Force's temporary headquarters, Luffy held a roasted meat leg in his right hand and a steak in his left. His mouth was stuffed full as he wolfed down his food.

Zoro and Sanji sat across from Luffy. They weren't as carefree as he was, but they were still eating heartily, seemingly unconcerned about what would happen afterward.

Only Usopp was trembling from head to toe, tears and snot streaming down his face. He could barely hold his food steady.

Kizaru sat at the head of the rectangular table. A separate selection of dishes had been set before him, and he ate with great elegance.

They ate for over half an hour. Kizaru's dishes had long since been cleared away, and he leaned back in his chair, leisurely smoking a cigar.

Luffy's belly had swollen like a ball. Sanji and Zoro had finished eating too, while Usopp, overcome by fear, had barely touched his food.

"Burp! I'm full!" Luffy slumped in his chair, then looked toward the far end of the table.

Sanji and Zoro looked toward Kizaru as well, their gazes sharp.

"Since you're all full, it's time to be on your way." Kizaru smiled.

As soon as Kizaru spoke, Luffy and the others rose from their seats. Even the timid Usopp braced himself against the table and struggled to his feet.

The atmosphere instantly grew tense. Luffy and the others knew they had little chance of defeating this group. But they were men, and they had chosen Luffy as their captain and chosen to become pirates. They wouldn't abandon that identity and cling to life like cowards.

"Oh-ho-ho! What frightening glares!" Kizaru said with a smile as they stared at him. He, too, rose from his seat.
