Crocodile, wearing a pitch-black top hat, a black scarf wrapped around his neck to hide his chin, and a trench coat, walked into the tavern.
He glanced around and spotted Kizaru sitting in a corner, waving to him.
Crocodile walked straight over and sat across from Kizaru.
"The blueprints aren't in Iceburg's hands." As soon as he sat down, Crocodile said in a low voice, his eyes revealing his displeasure.
Crocodile knew that while he had been away, the situation in the Alabasta Kingdom had turned upside down. All his plans in the kingdom had been ruined, and the Navy had arrested all his useless underlings.
So Crocodile couldn't help wondering whether Kizaru had told him about Pluton just to lure him away and make a move on the Alabasta Kingdom.
"Is Iceburg still alive?" Kizaru remained perfectly calm. He picked up the whiskey on the table, took a small sip, and asked slowly.
"Alive! He's surrounded by World Government people," Crocodile said irritably.
If he hadn't been wary of the World Government, he would have taken much harsher measures against Iceburg long ago.
Crocodile was willing to give up his Shichibukai title for Pluton, but until he had actually built it, he didn't want to attract the World Government's attention.
If he got tangled up with that pack of mad dogs from the World Government, building Pluton would become far more difficult.
"Let's go see that Iceburg." Kizaru had already guessed who had the Pluton blueprints. He was taking Crocodile to see Iceburg just to keep up appearances, so the suspicious Sand Crocodile wouldn't think Kizaru was playing him.
With that, Kizaru drained his glass, got up, and left his seat.
He left the money for the drinks on the table, then led Crocodile out of the tavern.
It
