On an uncharted island, Kizaru and Shanks stood facing each other on the beach, about seven or eight paces apart.

The other members of the Red Hair Pirates stood to their left, not too far away.

The afterglow of the banquet had yet to fade. Many members still held food and drinks, eagerly anticipating the battle between their captain and the leader of this newly emerged power.

Would the sea gain a fifth Emperor, or was this just an ambitious man putting on airs? It was a battle worth looking forward to.

Shanks rested his remaining right hand on the hilt of Gryphon at his waist. He looked completely relaxed, but his bright eyes revealed how seriously he took Kizaru.

As an Emperor of the sea, a top-tier powerhouse who stood above countless others, Shanks had the confidence of one such as he. But Kizaru had accomplished a string of shocking feats in the short time since his debut, and Shanks was on his guard.

The man before him had dared to challenge the World Government the moment he made his name. He clearly had the strength to back it up, not to mention Whitebeard's acknowledgment.

Lighting a cigarette, Kizaru appeared even more relaxed than Shanks. Some of the Red Hair Pirates made strange noises at the sight, and many wore eager expressions.

The crew didn't think Kizaru was being arrogant, or that he looked down on their captain. If anything, these troublemakers were eager to see their captain get put in his place.

"Red-Haired, how about a bet?" Kizaru asked with a smile after exhaling a cloud of smoke.

"I'll gamble, but I won't agree to join you in attacking Marine Headquarters." Shanks could guess what kind of bet Kizaru would propose.
