The Aftermath

Peace talks between Kizaru and the World Government were an earth-shaking event for the entire world.

Ever since twenty kings established the World Government eight hundred years ago, their rule over the seas had endured to this day.

There had been no shortage of heroes of the sea during that time, but not one of them had truly shaken the World Government's rule.

Eight hundred years of rule, the Celestial Dragons' treasures, the Five Elders' strength, and the Navy's accumulated talent from across the seas had given the World Government a terrifying grip on power.

But now, more than eight hundred years after the World Government had dominated the seas, someone had actually broken its rule. With his own strength, he had defeated the Navy and the World Government, taken control of the East Blue, and carved out a kingdom for himself.

What kind of power did that take?

To preserve the stability of its rule, the World Government chose to handle the matter quietly. It neither publicly acknowledged the peace talks nor denied them.
