In the first half of the Grand Line, a steel warship resembling a Marine vessel sailed the waters along the route to the Sabaody Archipelago.

The warship was a copy built by researchers from the Land of Light after they obtained a Marine warship. Now, factories back in the Land of Light were producing them in large numbers for use by the Vanguard.

On the warship's deck, Kizaru lounged in a beach chair. He wore sunglasses, and a small wooden stand beside his right hand held a lit cigar and a glass of iced cocktail.

Footsteps sounded behind Kizaru. Danzo stepped onto the deck and found the sight of his nephew lounging like he was on vacation incredibly irritating.

"This is a warship, not a cruise ship for your vacation. As the leader of a nation, you should watch your behavior at all times," Danzo said disapprovingly as he approached from behind.

Kizaru raised his right hand and pushed his sunglasses up onto his forehead. Then he picked up the cocktail beside him and drained it in one gulp before looking at Danzo, who stood to his left and blocked part of the warm sunlight.

"Oh-ho-ho, Uncle! Don't be so serious. This trip is just a simple discussion. The Fish-Man Kingdom and Jinbe have already received Whitebeard's message, and they're more than willing to work with us.

"As long as we can protect them, they have neither the grounds nor the right to refuse us."

Kizaru understood better than Danzo the conditions under which merfolk and fish-men survived on the Grand Line. Individuals of their race were fairly strong, but they lacked top-tier fighters and were few in number. On the Grand Line, they not only suffered oppression and discrimination from the World Government, but were also constantly preyed upon
