Just as Jiraiya was cursing the darkness of the Pirate World, Kizaru, the mastermind behind it all, had already returned to East Blue.
After returning to East Blue, he received an interesting piece of intelligence from his uncle, Danzo.
Before the Paramount War, Luffy and Blackbeard had wreaked havoc in Impel Down, the underwater prison, allowing a number of its prisoners to escape.
Among them was one particularly heinous criminal, imprisoned on Level 6, Infinite Hell, who escaped from Impel Down at the time.
His name was Byrnndi World, nicknamed the "World Destroyer." He was the user of the More-More Fruit, also known as the Multiplier Fruit. It allowed him to increase the speed and size of objects by up to a hundred times, as well as boost his own speed. It was an extraordinarily powerful ability, practically a combat-force multiplier.
Thirty years ago, Byrnndi World used the More-More Fruit to wreak destruction wherever he went. Whether they were Marines, the World Government, or pirates, any opponent he encountered was mercilessly crushed.
His indiscriminate destruction, much like Deidara's these days, was driven by nothing but his own whims. As a result, Byrnndi World had made enemies of every power on the sea.
So, to deal with him, pirates and Marines joined forces in a rare alliance, forming a combined fleet to hunt him down with intelligence support from the World Government.
Faced with the combined forces of pirates and Marines, Byrnndi World showed no fear. Instead, with the power of the More-More Fruit, he gained the upper hand in the direct confrontation, overpowering their alliance.
It was only when a World Government spy embedded in the World Pirates made his move, along with the crew's betrayal and defection, that the ambushed Byrnndi World was defeated against his will and frozen.
